On top of what Centho mentions, from my understanding, windows server specific operating system's are meant to run for say maybe..... month's or maybe a few years at a time without shutting down/rebooting and is designed to handle high volumes of data and traffic from several computers. Edit: where most regular consumer operating systems are not necessarily designed for that. And also, with server specific operating systems, they can sometimes handle hardware drop outs or hardware being pulled out. the latter you 'sometimes' here coined as 'hot swappable' hardware, the name coming from the idea that you can pull hardware out without shutting down the server to pull the specific hardware out.
I remembered I had used Windows Server 2012 as guest OS on my laptop’s virtual machine while I was taking Windows Server management classes @ my most recently college attended (RIT - Rochester Institute of Technology). NOTE that there are newest version release of Wins Server is Windows Server 2022 I found out a while ago. Wins Server 2022 is still based on Windows 10 NOT Wins 11.
