DRX's strong mentality is truly worthy of praise. MAKO's ace with Bind definitely inspired the team.
Buzz was also fully fit for the this match and continued to support the team in key moments.
Funny thing is one of their weaknesses was their weak mental. Even tho people still miss the old roster, this new young roster has much bigger potential

This year's Champions will be held in Seoul, and GENG and DRX have proven their strength here as host country teams. with tomorrow's Korean derby in the Grand Finals serving as a prelude to Champions Seoul.

Still miss DRX Stax, but I now believe dropping him was a good move for DRX in the long run. MAKO's IGL is looking very good now and has given DRX a new fighting style, flexibility, and mental strength that was previously lacking.

① Flashback is still one of the most underrated rookies of the year in the Pacific. His target aim is almost undefeated and he is definitely a young player who will carry the future of DRX. Not only him, but BEYN and Foxy9 are also great players who have now become firmly established as part of DRX's core.
② PRX Still a shallow map pool. DRX simply has a better map pool.
Currently, PRX is probably only strong on Sunset and Lotus. Ascent is still an issue with no Sentinel comps and has yet to be resolved. It's good that PRX's Abyss is legitimate, but it's not as strong as teams like G2, Lev, etc. fear. PRX still has a chance at the Championship, but they'll need to reinvent themselves on at least some maps in the next week and a half. It's doable, but difficult.

My summary today
As pacific supporter I have a roller coaster of emotions
I am happy of one team and disappointed of the other team
Let’s start with prx:
As a long time supporter of both teams
I am disappointed of Paper Rex how they play
They were 2:0 at the begging then lost all the momentum until map 3 to get reverse sweep
Losing unnecessary rounds and weren’t disciplined
They had a great start at the beginning and fell short at the end
If you’re prx fan you can’t say they win champs until they’re fixing their mistake
If they gonna play like this they not gonna get far in champs
Their map pool are bad and the agent pool of some players a weak
I have to say they can’t win champs because they can’t win bo5 under pressure
Drx had great performance and fought until the end
Even they were 0:2 down they were able to pushing forward and their mentality were strong until game 5
Many of us had doubt about this new line up and Mako as an In game leader but in this game they proved as wrong
and i am happy about that
They were well prepared for this match
Tomorrow is gonna be Korean Derby between this two Titans for the Pacific trophy 🏆
Geng vs Drx gonna be amazing
I will be happy if Drx getting out of group first in champs
Then we will see what’s coming next

As a 3 years Prx fan , this is the first time i put this kind of comment. The moment I saw the Ascent comps again I knew they are gonna lose.They can only win this map against bad teams , but not the korean or other top teams. Not good at attack and can't even defense cause the dont have sentinel. IDK how could these works. feeling really painful to watch this match , coach alecks should stop trying this. I really hope that they could find their way to win at this map. GG to Drx , they deserve this win today.

i feel like wat mindfreak said is true, prx kinda lost their identity since champs 2023 and its kinda sad to see the core of wgaming just disolving slowly. what alecks said as well, where they got too discipline and are just waiting for others to do smth on the map instead of taking charge themselves. due to all the pressure in shanghai, they listened to all the comments abt discipline, abt bad map pool, abt needing a 2nd coach. now theyve done all that and plays veryyyy safe, it didnt feel like every game was a rollercoaster anymore and i dont get the same joy and hype from the games. maybe its the fear and mindset that they dont want to fk up again so that they wont get the backlash from everyone like they did in shanghai when everyone expected them to win but complained when they didnt.
really bad map pool for them as well, especially for BO5s, their only strong maps i wld say are sunset and lotus. hope they come up wif new ideas to tackle the weaker maps though. abyss 1st time, not too sure.
i understand that they need to adapt and the things said were real issues that need to be fixed. but i think it has pressured them too much and weakend their mindset now, hope they get back in form.

they never beat DRX on ascent, i think PRX should use the proper standard comps in ascent tho. instead of using double duelists. and also jinggg played badly using raze, i feel like after he got aces back to back he ran off the fuel.
Sometimes during interviews, when I hear they are okay with top 8, top 4, and that they just want to have fun and all, I get a feeling that they might not have a competitive drive where they actually want to really win. So far, I've only seen the huge competitive drive coming in when it's high stakes, for example like lower bracket or a upper final/grand final where only then they felt the disappointment after the lost. I'm not sure if they are too focused wanting to be "different" than other teams so the team comp seems so different than what most teams play but they honestly have to change it up. As much as I love this team and the ups and downs that they bring to us, I can't help but feel that having a core around for approx. 3 years without an international trophy but only falling short consecutively seems quite concerning. I'm also observing a downfall of their international gameplay atm and I hope they can fix it in time for champions. I never expect the same players to top frag or whatever, it's a game, the scoreboard will never be the same each game. I have to say, props to DRX's mentality here, Mako's IGLing has seem to improve a fair lot. The rookies especially Flashback has been nothing but amazing this series. Ggs!

at this point, PRX is not gonna win champs for sure. hope they will have deep run this time and placed top 5 and if their forms is in good condition maybe even top 3.
right now, map pool is their main issue, which is they are only good on sunset and Lotus. this is mainly because of jing low agent pool. With Raze being nerfed, he only plays Sage and Neon (also Iso and Clove in which they lose). his neon is looking better but not good enough. even something right doing a little bit of flex with Breach and Gekko.
at current meta, I think monyet is more valuable. can play duelist (all of Jing agents) and on top of that also play smokes. money mf can do double smokes and forsaken can go back to sentinel. that'll fix their issue with no sentin comp on their bad map like an ascent, bind, and probably abbys but abyss right now is in the dark. if they need double duelist comp, they have money and of course forsaken.
but the reason they still take Jing back is that the chemistry and firepower are definitely above money, and maybe they need SG rep cause you know PRX is based on SG lol.

It’s really hard to tell just what PRX’s problem is aside from their unique team comps that prove to be weaker against the meta picks in some maps.
I mean, the team is COMPLETELY stacked. there’s something, ridiculous flicks every match and probably one of the most consistent and best entry fraggers in the game. David, one of the most solid players, showing up almost every match. then there’s Forsaken, a flex that rivals the main duelist in kills even if he plays a ridiculously conservative role. Mindfreak, the perfect smoke player. and Jinggg. no need to explain, best player in valorant.
