    Excellent work Vali! Now we need a build order for my favourite civ, the romans!

      Yep, a build for civilizations with 150 wood houses would be good too.

    How can you build a Baracks without the infantry unit moving to it at 4:30? Thank you for the video!

      If you hold Shift whilst giving an order it will be done after the current task of the unit/s is finished. So in this case I placed the barrack whilst holding Shift and due to the units current task being woodcutting it didn't go anywhere. I also didn't want the unit to go to the barrack afterward so I did a normal order to woodcutting to override the Shift queued order.

    Great work Man! Can you suggest how to compete in late games where steps like champions spamming and endless trading is required? And further if you give such a Build order for Britons, it would be really helpful.

    • @ValihrAnt
      @ValihrAnt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks! For the Britons, the build order will be the exact same until getting the barrack. After getting the barrack you will want to have about 10 units mining stone to train a mix of slingers and spearmen, and the rest is also about the same.
      Going into the late game it is important to have gotten all of the economy upgrades as this will allow you to build many barracks and also sustain training from them, and get military upgrades. Making sure to not send all of your woodcutters over to a fight is important as well as they are required to continue training reinforcing units.
      If you reach a point where endless trade is going on your goal should be to try and disrupt it with raids. Another good thing this achieves is giving you a chance to overwhelm on the main front, so if you see an enemy overreacting to a raid and sending far too many units to disperse it you can go for a strong siege/elephant reinforced push.

    Any tips on games where you and your opponent sit back go boom economy and do big battles with siege instead. How to break down opponent then?

    • @ValihrAnt

      Setting yourself up for lategame is very important. Getting the last woodcutting and farming upgrades is very important for a strong economy. Making sure to never send your whole economy to a fight unless you are in a very dire situation is necessary to continually keep producing more units.
      Some other important things to do is getting map control, so a Civic Center and then also some barracks and possibly towers near it. This will allow you to pressure your opponent from the side and also raid your opponents economy with cavalry more easily. Pressuring food production as the game goes on can be very strong as the enemy will generally need to bring back units from afar to scare you away, making it easier to raid elsewhere or push on the main front. If the fight is really tough and generally stagnating then it's a good idea to try and solidify your position on the main front with towers when possible. This will make it much harder for your opponent to push you back and if he does gain an advantage will slow his push a lot letting you recover.

      @@ValihrAnt Thanks man. Also any tips to counter persian/Mauryan spam archers groups.

      @ValihrAnt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In alpha 23 archers are underpowered, but can still be quite capable if used well. Making sure to have units with good pierce armor (melee units) mixed into your army when fighting against archers will make it much easier to deal with them.

    3 min in :p why not tell them to scout with 1/2 inf your base surroundings? i know this not extra berries build but you shouldve mentioned it as its a must since you will miss alot of potential growth if you miss surrounding berries/ hunt every time altho i know you know this since im pretty sure i copied you in this.im pretty sure with bal mod now all berries you can reach are within ur teritory and same with hunt but while its a best way to 1v1 many tgs and even 1v1 s r played non mod so this is a must to be added to any build.

    • @ValihrAnt
      @ValihrAnt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, true, I didn't showcase it nor mention it. Sending one skirmisher to scout the edge of your territory at around the time the first house is being built is good. This way by the time the batch of 3 women finishes you will already know whether you have extra food to take.
