what about with a rear wheel. I just bought a thru axle rear wheel and I'm not 100% sure, but it might be 142mm boost instead of 148 like my frame requires. I bought an adaptor kit 142-148mm which came with 2 spacers for the axle and then a spacer for the brake rotor. Do I install both spacers on the drive side or the non-drive side? And if only on the drive side then would I need the spacer for the brake rotor?
Usually no. The rotor spacer moves the rotor 5 mm outboard which is where a boost front hub would put in. You’ll still need to adjust the caliper to your rotor with the built in play on the rotor bolt holes.
Hi . Wandering if you know what a 2021 giant talon 2 runs for the front wheel. I converted my fork to a tapered fork and would like to know how to convert my stock front wheel to run on my thru axle rockshock recon. Would the answer be to buy the "problem solver thru axle kit 100 to 110" work?... I did buy a second wheel but would like to run a different front wheel without buying a third new front wheel.
Thanks for the great vid

do you have problems with alignment of the brake calipers and rotor ?
Usually no. The rotor spacer moves the rotor 5 mm outboard which is where a boost front hub would put in. You’ll still need to adjust the caliper to your rotor with the built in play on the rotor bolt holes.

What do you mean by "special adapter on the rotor"?
Its a spacer between the hub threads, and the rotor
Do you need to redish? Is this the problem solvers booster?
This looks like a generic one but the problem solvers works the same. It’s a front wheel, no dishing.
What rotors are those
Hello! These are Clarks 160MM Stainless Steel 6 bolt rotors.
Couldn't you just replace the hub end caps? and also add the rotor spacer.
Yes, but those are proprietary for every hub whereas this is just a 5 mm washer so works with any hub.
Where can I buy this kit?
