I know this was a set up but I still think her best friend and now her man should not have done that. I even get why they did it but truthfully even if she hadn't had a trauma trigger it would have still hurt. She herself went down on her own knees in front of the empress to beg to be heard for Zipin and Meng to save their lives she took that punishment like the champ she was so to do this out of everything else she had to endure NOT GOOD. They all deserved punishment but isn't it funny that the empress was pardoned but Zijin wasn't. I lost a little bit of respect for our new emperor.
