Hey Whittney! Great explanation of the MOS. You seem very knowledgeable! I have been a warehouse manager for a few years in the civilian world and am joining the army very soon (MEPS is in a few days). I have a wife and son and I am curious about 92a typical work schedule. Lots of long nights, weekends, shift work? Any insight about this? Thanks!

This video was so helpful! I chose 92A as my MOS, and I wasn't sure what I really got myself into so I decided to do some research to understand it a little more. I signed my contract 2 days ago, and my basic training starts Februay 25th (Fort Jackson). I don't know who needs to hear this, but I just want you guys to know that I'm someone who NEVER thought about joining the army, but I'm so happy I did. Am I terrified, of course, but I'm also VERY excited and eager to learn so many things! I know I made the best decision for my future.

I was a 12B aka Combat Engineer. I’ve always respected the fact that we need all of our MOS’s. I liked having all of the equipment I need to complete my mission. Hell in Iraq we had water techs come in and they set up a shower. Now we only got to use it like three times but hell after 4 or 5 months of showering with cold ass lake water. I gotta say. I was damn happy to see them.

I loved being a (92/A) I started in my last units motor pool, but when I deployed to Afghanstan I worked in a SSA warehouse and that was cool. SSG Kilgore was right you can earn up to six figures on the Civilian side it would also help to learn about property book management, I'm sure alot has changed with the 92/a mos I say this because I've been retired since 2009 however I enjoyed my job.

But I work overseas now in Kuwait and Syria. 14 Months straight as an Logistics specialist and Heavy equipment operator. Learn how to run a warehouse, don't become a clerk. Also Fayetteville State have a Logistics Management Program. Being an 92A AIT gives you 20 college credits

@@marlonmoncrieffe0728 We buy goods and services for the Government. You learn this part of the MOS at ALMAC course at Ft.Lee.
I had been on active duty for 8 years when my CSMG told me about it.
In other words why work in the field or Warehouse, sweating 😓 your azz off when you can be in a office sitting 🪑 at a computer 💻 doing your work. If you work the system you can do it on active duty get college credit for learning the job and when you get out you can do it for the government or private business. I preferred the Government because you don’t have to worry about the budget. But this is something they won’t talk about took much in AIT or NCOES . They need field bunnies to work in the woods.

Until those of us still in uniform decide to make that transition we’ll continue to do the best we can at learning the various aspects of the MOS. This is geared toward privates just entering the military. I won’t argue about what I know, just know that I’m still killing it in the military and will be using my skills to do even better things when I retire in 5 years.
