+Crystal Adamma celibacy is power! The abuse of sex is whats hindering us black men from raising our consciousness. I learned about abstinence when I use to Box (Training as a fighter). And further more abstinence heightens your spiritual awareness.
+Crystal Adamma These men do NOT know what celibacy is. None of these men have gone more than what? two days withOUT? I have gone years without sex. No I am not gay. But then again I am white. So this "panel" is kind of not a legitimate panel of men for me.
And the feeling is that black men cannot be celibate or abstain from sex for any amount of time.
And black women get bashed, called a prude, frigid if we aren't willing to put out and are celibate or abstaining.

Women are the gate keepers, the entrance fee to the gates is low these days. The market value of pussy is very low so it isn't valued anymore. No one is going to wait for something or work hard for something that doesn't carry much value. Sorry, it's women's fault that most men won't wait.

It's crazy how the first thing that pops in a woman's mind when a man claims to be celibate or rejects them sexually is that he's gay.
I'm a relationship type of guy and I'm not really into casual sex, and I typically get that response when I turn a girl down. I'm not celibate, but I'm not having sex with any willing participant either.

+madmann1000 It is the same thing guys say to other guys, i had to defend my cousin in a room full of people that thought he was gay just because he did not want to do casual sex. He has always been attracted to girls. I got in a fist fight with someone who we thought were our friend because he called my cousin a faggot while boys and girls laughed.
I think because women are so use to seeing/experiencing guys just wanting to jump on anything, when who to put it nicely has standards come along it's out of the norm and that's the only reason they feel would warrant a guy to not sleep with anybody. it's a bit of a shock and tbh I would have thought that if we were in a situation like that and not even to insult you, it's just so rare. If there were more guys like you, less of those questions would have been asked for sure.

The guy at the end with the blue shirt that talked about being celibate, it's nice to see a man admit it for his own reasons. He understands the importance and emotional attachment that sex can play into women. I wish more men were like him. I must say I am surprised at the girl he was with who eye rolled him. In this day and age people need to understand their motives and have a mutual respect for your reasons for having sex. it's nice to know that there are guys willing to wait for their own reasons and not because the woman wants to wait.

It's so refreshing to see a guy say he's celibate for his faith. I am always the one who has to have that conversation with guys. It always makes me feel like they have to give something up for ME. How wonderful it would be to meet a guy who wants the same thing because of his love for the LORD. I have never met a guy like that sadly. Luckily most haven't minded holding out for me, but it still would be nice to meet someone like minded.

I absolutely love hearing Black men share their life experiences. For so long they've been silenced or they felt silenced. This is a breath of fresh air and no clap back is necessary.....more of this please! This is mental health counseling for Black men and the epitome of true brotherhood. Black men being authentic, vulnerable and honest.. Keep it coming! TV show or and series on Aspire tv or and tv one needed!

Best "Ask a Black Man" segment, in my opinion, yet! The beds were flipped, so to speak, and I really enjoyed the vulnerability of these men to risk being honest.

Yes I totally relate. I'm from the both parents household. I was never raised to ride a carousel. I don't have the capacity to understand modern dating oatterns where ppl talk and date multiple partners at a time. There is noone perfect! It is only the one you devoted to who can become perfect. Anyways....yes I am with the 100% Black man we live eachother we support eachother we go thru thick and thin and yes I must say finding your own ław l of attraction is the key. If it is a woman or man of a different race who really attracts you then go for it. Erotic life is very important and once we admit it life really becomes easier. All this to say there def are Black men who are loyal, who are honest and well ecucated and it is only sad that a lot come from broken families. I believe they also might understand the idea of a real commited love although it might take a bit more work for them. Won't be so intuitive and natural as it is for you sir. Best regards!

I think it’s great that Mr. Wise is open about being celibate, not judging the other men but it’s a rarity in the US to see men who are followers and not fans of the Lord. Also, this was a great panel selection. The men made some very insightful comments about relationships and how sex clouds your judgement. This is some great food for thought. I would suggest that you consider using this panel again.

In 2013 to 2014, I was celibate for more than a year. It started as waiting for a prefered partner, and continued as a choice; there _was_ a difference, but it's not something me as a highly sexual being would do without cause. I still dated, and it was never a problem for the women. If you are going to be celibate, you got to do it for _you_ , not for anyone else.

I really enjoyed this ! seeing these black men talk about celibacy , sex , women ect.. definitely gives us women a different point of view of what they think towards certain things . I'm celibate myself as a young women and ill be 19 in a few weeks. sex isnt everything or the main target when getting to know someone . just subscribed t this channel .

I would practice abstinence as I do believe sex can cloud the mind but I wouldn't practice celibacy. I personally don't see the point unless you're religious and are doing it because of your beliefs. Sex is a beautiful thing and feels great. I do believe sex should be had with someone you trust and views you more than just a sexual play thing (although I don't judge a man or woman if that's what they want) but I wouldn't want to marry a man I'm not sure I'm 100% sexually compatible with.

Exposing yourself sexually to a person is giving your value in return for momentarily pleasure. Sex in marriage may be very different from sex in relationship at the point of pre-marriage it’s all about pleasing your partner but in marriage you may hit a wall for months or years. Then find out that sex isn’t enough & who you thought pleased your pre-marriage may not desire or please u after marriage... it’s complex but just wonna leave a little explanation

1st Question I'm with Edward all day. I never tried celibacy but I was abstinent for a time. They are definitely different 2nd Question the only time I was concerned about my performance only in a relationship, more-so now that I'm married. I am most concerned that she is satisfied. 3rd Question I will agree the difference is more cultural background not necessarily race. Question.
