This is a very impressive starter set! I wonder if the RPG itself will just be a hardcover core rule book. It would be great if future adventures were also box sets like this with maps tokens and handouts. That would also differentiate the game from CoC.
@@dozensofdonuts8695 I actually don't know if Travis, Bryn, and I are going to be playing it. I need to ask them if they're interested. But right now, Eric is one of the players in our group that is confirmed for our playthrough of it. I may run it multiple times depending on how many people want to play it.
So CoC is % based, right? So that's a very basic difference with this. CoC basic is open rules for any scenario but requires significant prep from gm, this is clearly out-of-the-box for a single scenario. Whether it's "bad" or not depends on what you're looking for from an rpg, I reckon. I don't see how they are similar apart from the theme, and it certainly isn't a "clone".
"we have the premade character sheets based on some of our favorite investigators from AH the card game - and also Rita Young is here too" 😂
Thanks Justin! Looking forward to future playthroughs of this.
Can't wait to see a playthrough with Bryn and Travis, with Bryn as William as always.
Pre ordered this and can’t wait to watch this!!
I swear I saw an NPC sheet for Umordhoth’s Testicles, can’t wait to see how you fight those!
That fight must be pretty ballsy
The surprise is when the third one comes out to fight you! No expects the third one!
I hadn’t seen that NPC sheet. That’s just nuts.

3:25 I saw the ad sheet in the back of the GM's guide!
I hope they eventually do a DM app similar to heroquest for those of us that have two people most of the time
No add sheet!?!?
It's like they don't know their audience anymore 😂
I got this today as well ❤
I feel a little meh about the scenario being NotZ It is a good thing my players don't play the card game (I play it solo).
Nice! I hope 401 games gets it and delivers it on time!
Can't wait to see this playthrough! Any chance Eric can join? I know they played a lot of your early roleplaying stuff on the channel

Green dice box=Green Dice. Brown dice box=Grey dice? I'm like whut this doesn't match!
Are you guys going to cover the new Official Loot Studios Arkham Miniatures that are releasing tomorrow?
@@jakespurgeon4515 I didn't have a plan to, but I'll look into it!
That's an awful lot of content for $35.
No Ad Sheet!? Why even buy it?
Mansions of Madness with a bit of roleplay??...
A bad Call of Cthulhu clon 😅
