  • When Hayden was born professionals told his family he would never eat, think, feel, breath or hear.
    I visited Hayden to tell him everything the doctors forgot to mention. We shared a powerful emotional experience as I explained to Hayden that he will have a profound and lasting impact on our world.
    We love you Hayden.

      Awe he's precious my little girl has a rare brain malformation that caused her to have quadrilateral spastic cerebral palsy its much worse on one side so they told us that her mri would probably reveal a stroke during fetal development but it revealed bilateral closed cleft schizencephaly so we discovered that it was going to be a bigger disability than we first thought but I so wish I could speak to his mother I hate that she's so sad for his situation because kids born with these kinds of problems just accept it and have a happiness about life and as a parent to a seriously disabled child I've made it a point to never teach her that she's anything but perfect she's exactly how god wanted her to be she's stronger and smarter than the average child and god knew that plus she's so awesome on the inside that she had to have some kind of flaw to balance out how wonderful she is teaching her that mentality has seemed to jeep her from being jealous of normal kids and she stays positive even through surgery hard work everything I just want to show his mother that his life us just as it should be and that he is just an angel with broken wings that god blessed the world with these kids are so much more amazing to know than most average people I have found real appreciation for the way my angel is and I wouldn't change it she's a better person because of it and I thank god for a gift I could never have known would be so life changing in a positive way anyways they're a beautiful pair and I wish the very best for him and his mother😘

    My younger brother suffered a brain bleed as he was being born. He is nonverbal. Many doctors told his Mom the same things, but he’s attending college now and though he’s still nonverbal and unable to communicate without a device and is occasionally frustrated at feeling like an observer of his life, he is grateful to the people who believed in him. The love and care of a support system can be transformative in ways that ripple through our life later.

Over the past 14 years I've learned that I didn't need to cure him. He needed to fix me, and change the way I looked at people and how I can help make their lives better. I'm so grateful to have my son and know that the world will be forever changed because of the way a lot of people are speaking out against keeping the kids with disabilities apart from the "normal" kids and we want them all to see that every person is here for a reason and deserve nothing but love and respect. ❤️ Hayden is beautiful momma!

    • @Lex-tl4vm
      @Lex-tl4vm 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Well you cant deny this family their personal experiences either.
      Sometimes the medical community is amazing and does an outstanding job, other times it scars parents and children and is filled with no compassion.
      Its all about the individuals experience and which dr.s they interact with.
      Instead of posting a negative comment I suggest gently that you takw action and be the change in this world. If youre practising in medicine do it with compassion.

    • @dr.christopherdiaz4473
      @dr.christopherdiaz4473 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I didn't post a negative comment. I was trying to state that it is COMPLETELY possible to be positive WITHOUT pointing a negative finger in another direction.
      Put it this way: I love my wife. But do I need to walk around constantly telling her and other people how awful my other girlfriends were in comparison to her? I can build up my love for her just fine without having to resort to insulting other people.
      If you have a bad doctor, so be it, but don't use that experience to make it seem like the entire medical community is heartless and cold. I would like to see the average person try to deal with the stress of telling people horrible, life-altering news on a daily basis. You don't think they want to give good news? You think they enjoy telling people that they or a loved one has a terrible prognosis? NO. They hate doing it, but it is a legal and ethical responsibility that comes with the job. Lots of doctors have to see a shrink on a more than average basis because of the stress this responsibility brings. I don't think it is at all fair to judge them for having the strength to handle such a daunting, but necessary, task within our society.
      I don't practice medicine, but I do actively try to be the change I want to see. My research on the effectiveness of medicine and its relation to bedside manner has actively changed how I approach my profession.
      Your eagerness to engage with me doesn't give you the right to put words in my mouth, or to misinterpret my benign statement to such an extreme.

      @Lex-tl4vm 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for your reply. It was nice to read more and try to understand where you were coming from and what you meant by posting what you did originally. I understand what you mean, but this comment made in the video was a representation of this woman's personal experience.We can not deny someone's personal feelings or emotions that came about from their own story.I do not think the video makes the medical community look awful.This woman was just expressing how she felt when the doctors explained her sons diagnosis, and the comment she gave, gave emphasis to how wrong they were in that this amazing miracle of a child occurred and he can now accomplish things she was told would never happen.My comment was meant to gently tell you that maybe instead of trying to point out an issue, maybe next time you could point out something beautiful about the video, instead of a negative.Point out how amazing it is that he is alive and thriving.I will soon be going to medical school and understand that everyone has their own opinions and experiences about the medical community.It is not our place to judge or critic their experiences nor deny them, althoughI'm sorry if my comment upset you and I wish you the best with your research.

    Thank you Chris for voicing the things that I'm sure many of us are thinking - he will bring love and joy to so, so many people. Just in the short clip of that sweet boy I smiled so much when I saw him smile...... He did that without uttering one word. 😍😍😍

    My son had a stroke at a week old, he is now 3 and has hemiplegia down his right side. This made me cry and smile. Beautiful little boy 😊

    He looks so much like my own little brother who is severely autistic. He can do way more than what Hayden can do but just looking at this poor boy and condition, I don’t know how I’d feel if my own little brother had this condition. It’s already hard as it is with an severely autistic brother and I just couldn’t imagine him having something much worse.
    Hayden looks like he has gotten better and stronger over the years and I’m glad for him. The first time I watched this I bawled my eyes out but now it just makes me happy that he is getting bigger and better with the technology he uses, him calling his mom, introducing himself, and so much more. I wish him the best in life and would love to get updates.
