Awesome video of an awesome location, I will definitely be going there this winter as I escape the Wisconsin winter weather. Thank you for sharing all the amazing places you visit.
I recommend going all the way down to the Lower Rio Grande Valley. There are several hiking areas like Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge. There are tropical species of birds like the Green Jay that you won't see anywhere else in the US. Plus it is more tropical down there. If you're looking for warmth, avoid north Texas.
Double Bayou dance hall? Double Bayou is deep where sailors, like me, take their boats far up river and tie up along the banks to party and enjoy life.
Thanks for showing this, live in DFW, but business took me to that area often, and I've got some great photos right along those same trails (always full of water whenever I saw it).
I hear Texas has the 3rd largest Alligator population in America, right behind Florida and Louisiana with the majority of that population concentrated in Southeast Texas bayous!
my boss used to live there. he brought a big ziplock bag of bbq pork chops. they were great. then he told me it was alligator tail. ill eat it i dont care
You should be OK around the shoveler pond loop (where most of the gators are) and also the butterfly garden areas. If I recall correctly the trail behind the main visitors center is handicap accessible and is beautiful.
i love the ending and the wasp jumpscare! 😂 great video
I always enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing your Texas adventures.

An interesting view of a landscape that many would not readily associate with the Lone Star State.
Did you encounter any Snakes there?
I didn't see any on this trip

You might not have gotten many shots of gators but you did get some good wildlife. Including the one that buzzed you. As always a good video.
No😮 lo
This place isn't too far from me I live over in Baytown and I've only been to this place once
Are the trails handicap ♿?

We were just there! Gorgeous place. We want to go back and paddle it. We saw an alligator and a bobcat and tons of birds.
Great video as always. Did you try the shrooms? laugh out loud!
Alligators are a pain in the tail ! Who really wants one ?
