Its interesting to see the similarities and differences between this version of the linking form and what I have learned. I love learning more about Xing Yi from all perspectives. My teacher is a Tudi of Master Shouyu Liang, and I a Tudi of my Sifu, Ayron Howey. And I will continue to pass it on as I grow and learn to be a teacher. Thank you for sharing.
thank you for sharing this video! offering my respect to the teacher! studying in detail, using slow motion, i became able to practise this 5 element connection form so that my body felt good and strong doing it, sometimes, at least. this type of resonance of skill and culture across the globe, conveyed by internet, is truly awesome, imh. as i am now practising the form in the park as deligently as possible, hopefully some looker-on may become interested in the living tradition of nei jia gong fu and may wish to contribute. ❤
5 Elements: each in walk, back and forth. Next: with partner. Partner A: metal conquers Partner B: wood conquers A earth conquers B water conquers A fire conquers B metal conquers A wood ... and so on. 40 years later I start reaping the benifts. My teacher: Jan Voormeij, Amsterdam
Hello i had been training the 5 elements and now im doing the Zuan Quang element, then im going to star the Heng and Pao, But my question is how many time i have to practice the 5 elements for then star with the twelve animals ? nice Video dude.. Thaks for all.
Well there is no set amount of times you need to do something before you have a good grasp. "Fear the man who has practiced one fist a thousand times, not the man who has practiced a thousand fists once". I was taught some of the animal techniques along side the five elements, the eagle and tiger are good starting animals but the most important thing if learning Xingyiquan is to practice each thing a lot and always scrutinise and take apart each movement, then practice each part of each movement separately and find variants to each movement so you can perform it naturally in a number of ways, rather than trying to do too much and being a form collector. Happy training.
Thanks for the advice, i will train in each detail of each movement... im a beginner on this art. should i can get a good teacher but in my town, there isnt a Xing Yi School, and i Really want to learn it, so i ask you for the right form and the right techique of training.. really i appreciate your time..
@@TaijiquanGaoshou Nope...a lot of this Kung Fu is theoretical and for many years I was a fan of Kung Fu till I realized that most 'Masters' are paper tigers....but you look at hard ass Karate masters (esp. Kyokushin) they have really used it in fights (yes governed by rules but still real). China is full of this theory, and even Shaolin temple is a money making place now (according to those who have trained there)...interesting but just a theoretical art.
