- Some more outstanding coaching here with the phenomenal Muay Thai legend that is Saenchai Muaythaigym (alongside the equally brilliant Addy Singpayak Rentapmuaythai) from my time last year at the inaugural Amazing Muay Thai Festival in Hua Hin, Thailand. I was kindly invited to attend the event by @TrayvaleTravel (who were one of the main organisers in conjunction with WBC Muaythai and Fanclub Thailand).
In this clip, taken during one of his brilliant seminars at the event, he goes over one way he likes to catch and counter the teep whilst sparring or fighting.
Make sure you check out the fantastic MuayThai Holidays for more information on truly unforgettable training holidays and camps in Thailand by visiting www.muaythaiholidays.com.
Having been out there with them on a couple now, I cannot recommend them enough 🤯🔥😍 Book yourself a trip and get following all of these outstanding individuals and organisations across social media today!!

If only I could raise my leg above their waist, id be like Senchai. 😂
Only in your dreams
Lean your weight on your back leg and pushing your hips forward. Way higher kicks.
@@tumultoustortellini my max box split is about 100 degrees wide.
@@iane594 Do stretches brother, even beyond fighting, that sounds crippling. I'll tell you my routine that lets me to full side-splits even at 260lbs
30 seconds holds for each, 3 times before you move on to the next
kneel, then drive hips and front-leg forward (foot still planted to ground) while keeping back vertically straight. Hold as above, switch legs. This should open up your hips
elephant walks. The known variation is good, but holding your hands to their lowest point and then squating and straightening your legs is another good one. This is good for thigh flexibility.
pancake stretch. Hold 30 seconds, then lean into both legs independently for 30 seconds. Basically one level of progression below a split
actually doing splits: try it out 10 seconds at a time as you progress. Important tip, don't do splits w/ your hips open towards the ground, that's bad for your hips. Open your legs and sit down in a way that has your butt touching the ground.
Whether you do or don't it up to you. I just feel like passing knowledge.
@@tumultoustortellini ill try it.
Ohhh Good Teaching!
This video collides with so much clinching, wrestling, all manner of kickboxing! I dunno... if it benifits the mega rich-- it should do a lot more for the rest of us...the paradigms seem pretty clear
Dude what??

Legenda
From the way he so casually caught that kick I have no doubt that he would catch any kick I tried to throw at him

Живая легенда.
The counter to that, the opponent kick his head first while your right foot is being held... leverage him holding your right foot as a platform to jump on. It has to be all in one movement.
I'm doing a straight groin kick in this situation 😂 I know it's not allowed for matches but he's wide open for it
Very nice ❤❤
You good coach bro

That is wrong. Because in shotokan karate they teach you to snap the leg you use to kick with and then you pull it back towards the hip quickly so that kind of kick can't be grabbed and it can't be blocked or defended against. I took that Japanese martial art for years and it is a true authentic martial art very effective in combat if it is used correctly and utilized with form speed techniques and explosiveness. There is honestly no martial art better or superior to the other that of a person applying the principles has to know how to use it to make it more effective than the opponents skill. Bruce Lee once said "be like water". You can take Muay Tai for instance which is one of the arts he performed under and utilized but every movement has to be relaxed and explosive the martial arts you're participating in has to teach you how to be versatile. You have to have the mindset where you cannot underestimate or overestimate your opponent unless you know the fight your walking into is a sure victory for you, but other than that just understand I'm practicing let say shotokan karate I'm not gonna let you grab my leg and also I will have options to counter your roundhouse kick by the way the roundhouse kick originated in a southeast country like Japan China and North Korea even though North Korea is not a South Eastern continent tae kwon do adopted that technique from Japanese karate and Chinese kung fu. So, what I'm saying is this. If you throw a roundhouse kick to a person's head don't stand too close to them. You want to kick the under arm the ribs section below the armpit or the mid back located back by the arm when your doing a roundhouse kick naturally it was not established as a high kick until Chuck Norris taught that to Bruce Lee. Every martial art is established differently in its own special way with different rules. Don't be so narrow minded by knowing one form of self defense. Don't be one dimensional. Did you know Bruce went to other dojos to learn from other masters. Sometimes he didn't win a bout. But what he learned was what works and what doesn't. He even took from his loses and figured out a way to improve his philosophy to improve his martial arts the mind lead him to the way of the fist 👊 don't follow Buddhahood and expect that to give you power. Derive your own personal experiences from martial arts in training and improve upon what your already good at and get rid of what you don't need that is how you make progress with yourself. Like for example have you tried to assess your ability to balance yourself on one leg? That is very crucial any martial arts. It's a thought
What does that guy even know? Acting like he’s some sort of muy Thai god or sumthin…😶😶
