@mclottke Isn't an object defined by its immediate use, rather than its prescribed purpose? Take a section of copper pipe: if I use it in plumbing, it's a fitting or a "conveyance"; if I blow over it or slide it over the neck of a stringed instrument, it becomes a musical instrument itself (I'd like to follow up with an example of a "musical instrument" being used for another purpose, but I suppose they're quite specialised in design.

こんな原っぱみたいな、後ろで人が素通りしたり子供が走り回ってるようなステージってどこのなんというイベントだったのでしょう？
「Hirasawa Energy works」という平沢がファンから集めた乾電池と平沢が設置した
太陽光発電システムのみでアルバムを作るという企画のライブです。
そのアルバムは「SOLAR RAY」という名前でリメイクアルバムに近いです。
一応「平沢ソロをP-MODELに近づける」のが目的で作られました。
しかもこのアルバム制作には電気を自給自足する必要があったため、
太陽光発電システムを使っていました。なお、観客には
「FM電波を受信できる機器を持ってこい」と言ってました。
電力を大幅に使う音響システムの一部を省いたため、FM電波で音を送信したためです。
ライブは「科学万博記念公園」という茨城県つくば市で行われました。
関係ないですが、このライブまさかの雨天決行だったらしいです。
