The drifting and burning alive after every shot is the turn off. Anaconda with 6 modded shards and you get to oneshot cyclopes and take down hydras solo at settlements.
Well CMDR the reason the Type 10 was even built was for Thargoid combat , I always thought it odd that the Type 10 had so many hard points and yet only 4 AX slots for hardpoints . Now it seams that we can add two more AX weapons for a not so over whelming 6 AX hard points . Normally I would build one and test it my self but as fate would have other plans . I am smack in the middle of rebuild / restore my dream car and just a few days I got the 440 off the dyno and ready to go back in the car with and these are the numbers that I'm going to stick with 750HP with 740 ft. lbs. torque " there's more in it but this is far enough on the push for a street car " Normally I would just take a break and get some seat time in the Type my self but the wife has instructed me that if the car is not done by spring this year I should learn how divide . This behavior is unlike her she's not been her self since the trip we made out to the Formidine rift a few weeks ago . As we were jumping into the mega ship system we were hyperdicted by a group of scouts this was a jarring hyperdiction and knocked us both out cold when we came to it was fight or flight to get out of there in one piece . I almost turned around and headed back to the bubble right then and there but she insisted we get all the logs from Project Dynasty before leaving for the bubble . In hind sight all of this behavior is odd for my wife but in the moment I did not give it a second thought. The last few weeks there have been other things that seamed off but I can't put my finger on it . Every single time I have geared up to run AX missions there has been some kind of reason from her to keep my from it . Only now my that my war time paranoia seeps into my mind am I asking the question what could the Goids have done to her or to us while we were knocked out . Could she be rushing me on the old car to keep me from war effort because the goids are controlling her mind our minds? Is the Type 10 even my idea ? I'll keep working on the car like nothing has occurred to me . I'd like to contract you to test the AX Type 10 CMDR quietly off the books , every time I have said something about the Type 10 she would start acting strange and guarded paranoid even . This whole ordeal is strange to say the least with all this said I apricate your discretion . I look forward to the video report of the Type 10 in action if you choose to take the contract we can set terms . I love a bit of buildcrafting, so I'll certainly look into it. I quickly threw this together over on EDSY: edsy.org/s/vqM9DxW At a quick glance, it looks like the Type 10 will perform somewhat similar to the Cutter with its 7A Distributor and 6 hardpoints that can fit Salvation Plasma Chargers; it also has a similar amount of Armor HP and the same number of Utility Mounts as the Cutter, so it'll be able to tank quite a bit and bring along enough heatsinks to either run cold during multiple attack runs without rearming or to dump energy into the Plasma Chargers for burst DPS. Where the two differ greatly is in their shielding and speed/handling: the Cutter has far more shield capacity than the Type 10 when similarly configured, which could reduce hull damage and thus the need for Repair Limpets (around starports, that is). It also has a vast speed advantage over the Type 10 (494 m/s vs. 312 m/s, respectively), but has a slightly lower pitch rate (~28.0°/s vs. 31.2°/s, respectively); the higher top speed will allow the Cutter to outrun everything except a Basilisk, whereas the Type 10 will always be at risk of being Thargoshocked. Additionally, I believe a 1 Huge, 2 Large and 3 Medium hardpoint setup on the Cutter has better overall convergence than a 4 Large + 2 Medium or 3 Large + 3 Medium setups on the Type 10, but that will only matter when considering fixed weapons; I'd imagine a 4 Large Gimballed Enhanced AX Multicannon + 2 Enhanced AX or Sirius-Modded AX Missile Rack setup on the Type 10 might fare better than a 3 Large Gimballed Enhanced AX Multi + 3 Enhanced AX Missile Rack setup on a Cutter in situations where Guardian Weapons aren't useable, such as Maelstrom systems or while engaging Orthrus Interceptors. It'd be a fun thing to test, but I have to get the materials to mod it all up first - I just drained all my mats into modding the Cutter... apparently I've been running around with a bad Legacy 7A Distributor this whole time 😅

There's a minimum altitude you need to be above before a fighter can be launched at the Planetary Port CZs; I think it's somewhere around the 750 m - 1 km mark. Once you clear that, you're all set to launch the fighter.
And now a Hydra ;-) .. Would be very curious. If it is even viable with a setup with plasma. Love my plasma, but a medusa is about the furthest I would go up the ladder.
It's possible with a Salvation Plasma Charger setup - I did it back in HIP 22460, but there was a Capital Ship involved and the Thargon Swarm was disabled there due to some strange bug: th-cam.com/video/3L4oVFAEp4I/w-d-xo.html I'm also curious as to how a 5 or 6 SPC setup would fare against a Hydra... I'd be worried about sustained DPS as I'd be running my Distributor dry all the time. I'll have to track one down or actually sit through an entire AX CZ and test that one of these days.
A Weapon Focused | Super Conduits 7A Distributor should be able to consecutively charge and fire two 5-PC volleys. If a volley is charged and the Distributor is allowed to fully recharge, that'll give us 3 volleys before we're out of Weapons juice. My greatest concerns running a Weapon Focused Distributor are the penalties to the capacity and regen rate of the other two capacitors, as I run a shield on my Cutter which is always draining the SYS capacitor and I need to boost constantly to turn it around sometime this century🙃 Testing one of those out is definitely on my list of experiments... I have a feeling it may be necessary to run 6 Salvation Plasma Chargers.
WF distro is not as effective as the super conduits experimental so it'd be better to just go charge enhanced + super conduits. no distro can handle 4 MPCs, 5 is out of the question
@@CMDRTheRiz try Anaconda with 6 chargers, use cold 8-heatsink build for quicker recharge of 8A distributor, load premium ammo and make a solo Hydra facetank speedrun. :)
@@zabijavak2329 you're a little greedy for overall effectiveness - understandable, but weapon capacity is still helpful. We are not rushing for "can let you max spam 5 chargers", we just want additional capability to fire when it's the good moment, while we recharge when it's less convenient to attack. Since the build is optimized for maximum damage, sacrificing some power for field neutralizer+shield and boosts can be considered
It is all impresive but I would like to see how this cutter would withstand 3x Hydras, like I had last evening. I am looking for build which is more sturdy, so perhaps shieldless option?
This setup has faced a Hydra for a little bit in the follow-up video where I showcase the 5F Weapon Stabilizer, but I wouldn't face-tank a Hydra with that one. I recently beefed up the shields with a few extra Heavy Duty | Super Capacitors Shield Boosters so that Bi-Weave is now pushing 4k MJ, plus an 8A Shield Cell Bank. I took out a Hydra solo with it last night using basic ammo Shard Cannons - it can tank a Hydra for quite some time, but I'd still advise a Cold Orbiting approach as I did need to return to the station to refill my SCB mid-fight... I'm not use to fighting Hydrae with my Cutter just yet 🙃
Clops are paper though. How does it fare against basi & higher? I'd imagine there would just be panic shields left and right with the massive damage lol
I had hoped I'd find a Basilisk during this video, but sadly they don't spawn often at the Planetary Port CZs. I'll keep looking though 😁 Based on several Basi kills with 4 Salvation Plasma Chargers, I'd imagine it'll be easier to exert hearts with 5, but I'll probably still need 2 or 3 volleys to take the hearts out - the two Large Hardpoints up top don't converge on hearts with the bottom 3 Hardpoints up close. Higher-tier Interceptors have higher Hull Hardness stats, so there's less risk of proccing the Panic Shields until they're down to their last hearts. At that point, we can either partially charge the SPCs or use Damage Falloff (or both) to adjust our damage output as needed.

I generally prioritize destroying Berserker Scouts when possible, as they're the ones that tell the other Scouts to fire the missiles when their buff activates. It can be difficult to do that sometimes because Scout buffs work instance-wide, so they can be 25 km away sitting next to the port when their buff activates and suddenly the lone Marauder next to you will lob missiles at everyone. And then there's the invisible Caustic Cloud problem... I've lost count the number of times I've been Thargoo'd and lost a fighter to that😅
Azimuth Biotech recently released their Experimental Weapon Stabilizers that allow us to fit up to 6 AX or Guardian weapons on our ships now. They're purchasable from the Rescue Megaships, Shinrarta Dezhra (Jameson Memorial), or apparently Military-economy surface ports (from INARA: inara.cz/elite/nearest-outfitting/?formbrief=1&pa3%5B%5D=132377&pa3%5B%5D=132375&ps1=&pi18=0&pi19=0&pi17=0 ).
Scout kills only give 80k Credits while Cyclops kills 8 million. The payouts were increased a while back to better fit the dangers of fighting Thargoids.

@@Sithishe Yes, the Salvation guardian weapons are different than the standard ones. Salvayion weapons are better too with the exception of the Modified Gauss Cannon which is hot garbage compared to the normal one
I dont get it... When someone is killing one scout half of hour and do only clops, vidos of this users have so many followers. When I do solo very high intesity CZ and kill multiple high interceptors, no one cares...
Imperial Cutters are notorious for their lack of maneuverability; fighting planetside only magnifies that issue with the addition of gravity. Flying one is like trying to handle a fully-loaded 18-wheeler at raceway speeds on ice 😅
The introduction of these modules that sacrifice internal modules to increase the amount of AX weapons is the worst game design decision F-devs have ever made in AX combat. This definitely makes small ships unusable and makes large ships the only viable option, and worsens the chronic ED problem in terms of balancing and underutilizing of the ships. But I don't give a shit about ED anymore, it's become a stale game in terms of gameplay, repurposed gameplay, recycled content and nothing really new content and the graphics have become stale. ED is dead. We need a new space sim.

Speed , shields , armour are main assets 5 hardpoints icing on the cake and with the 2 km advanced sceno scanners makes it so much easier .
The icing on the cake it's really the absence of swarms and caustic missiles. That made it a walk in the park.

I dont know about combat yet, but the Cutter is The Boss at AX supply. 784T and boost speed to outrun the Interceptors (530 empty).

5 chargers sure are distributor power hungry... I wonder if going weapon focused distributor would be a good move here

how did you avoid caustic damage for so long? sneaky scouts seem to spit caustic missiles all over the place in those cg's.
