Two notes from a perspective of someone, who considered buying one: 1) It's the only modern laptop with a swivel screen at current market. The other one, which can be considered an alternative is a 5 year old Fujitsu T939. There is nothing between. 2) Since this lacks pretty much every needed port (USB A, HDMI/DP, LAN port), I went to the older Fujitsu, which has everything. To be honest, I don't give a .... about the e-ink, I was just looking for a service laptop, which has a swivel screen. Why? Because when you work outside, the "flip over" variant keeps the keyboard exposed, rather than hidden under the screen. Try to place it somewhere in the engine bay of a 20 year old car while working. You will end up either with filthy keyboard or you spend 30 minutes cleaning it every single time. With swivel screen, you clean the flat bottom of your laptop with a rag in 2 seconds and one swipe. To be honest, I was really disappointed, when they released the final version. Expecially the absence of the most basic ports closes doors to more practical use cases outdoors. Not everything is wireless today and most diagnostic HW still uses USB A for example.
Thanks so much for this review; i was waiting for this laptop for so long. I'm a non-profit worker in the Philippines so i have a limited budget but also need some relief from computer screens. I've been looking at the Boox ultra c pro since the price shot up on this Lenovo to $3k but then i saw a used one that's within my reach. I'm so glad i saw your review, the refresh rate will just drive me mad. I'm curious, have you tried using your Boox as an external monitor for a laptop? I know the screen isn't very big, just wondering how good it is as an external monitor. (subscribed)
Oh man. I would so love to have laptop with e-ink display! I am on my balcony in the sun on Onyx Tab Ultra C Pro but the Android interface is killing me. Please, if there will be any news on this front, let us know.
Right, less heavy consuming processor, better balanced e ink mode (oled - maybe ? > or no further display), wacom enabled stylus, changeable battery - and still ports (unlike apple)
I like your video weirdly, you cover all the topic I am interested in. Thinkpad, apple computer, writing, e-ink. But you sounds like the guy that need a word processor, not this laptop. That tablet suits you well. Why the computer though?

Can you change the eink screen picture to something else?
Yep. You can change it to any image, just like a desktop background.

The E Ink screen pretty much eliminates eye strain for me!
