Explanation of the MV The guy and the girl were in deep love but the girl somehow lost her external beauty. It doesn't only implies to a scar in her face, it symbolizes many social decadence surrounding us those stand in the middle of lovers. The guy goes to an exhibition of the girl named 'Ei Obelai(This Dark Period)' searching for her and watches a poster and then see her outside the window. The girl hided her from the guy having an inferiority complex but the guy didn't back off. He constantly tries to meet the girl but the girl stays out of reach. The girl also loves the guy so deeply but she keeps hiding her. Both of them crave to meet each other but they keep dying inside! Stormy clouds in her mind becomes darker, it rains heavy and creates an ocean inside which comes out by tears. But she has furnished her expulsion like a lonely clumsy bridal chamber. The video shows two parts of them. One is normal and the other one is their dark imagination. In a scene the girl was burning her painting brush and in another scene her framed picture fell and broke. It implies to the gradual end of her life. She was dying but she didn't let her lips speak out for love. She kept those talks in between the punch of her lips cuz sometimes expressing love might be a reason of having more pain. The guy keeps chasing the girl behind her car and the girl doesn't answer his sms. In the grass field the colour grading of the scenes tends to the imaginery aspect of them. In this field they can cry most loudly, shout most loudly, see their reflection clear and express their sorrow the way they want. After chasing and chasing, the guy finally looses hope. The white saree in the box symbolizes the lonely bridal dress of the girl. The last scene was totally symbolic. The girl floated a lantern in a happy face which says that she is finally getting free of all social decadences and complexity. She is leaving. The next scene showes the guy is floating a lantern in a mourning face cuz he has lost his love. And everybody is floating lanterns cuz this is the dark time and we all should float light ( positivity ) in the dark sky and make it illuminated. Well, 'Ei Obelai' is sculpted with a lyric which contains lots of bangla words those are very intense and the tune of this song is so suited. 30 thousand people sing along with the band and we cried day after day listening the song. This song is for everyone who has lost very loved one.
Shironamhin is particularly famous for their lyrics, and their lyrics, melody and choice of instruments, and of course vocal (specially the previous vocal tuhin) create a unique musical experience. Even for a native Bengali speaker, the lyrics of them are a bit hard to interpret, as they heavily use magic realism in their lyrics. As I have already requested multiple times already, do listen to the song Jahaji, which is a unique experience.
This song was released during the Covid-19 pandemic back in 2020, when most of the countries were following a thorough strict lock down to prevent the spreading of the virus. Interestingly, the audio version of this song was released as an EP before the music video came. Another fun fact is, this was the only song released by Shironamhin and no other individual artists or bands had been able to release any of their respective music during the pandemic. Shironamhin released this song as a gift to the nation, as a positive motivation nation wide for going through very strange & tough times.
This team of "Shironamhin" is 2nd generation.. Leads by Vocal "Istiaq". 1st generation was lead by "Tuhin".. They are more mature by lyrically and musically.. Few years ago they handed over the band to new team
There is no so called second generation. Only Tuhin is replaced by Istiaq. And if you talk about people like Farhan, he left at the beginning of the band, even before they become popular.
The most interesting part of this song for me is , I've never searched to find out the meaning of the mv... Because the song itself is so much meaningful.. It can be meant differently... For different people... "Keo kothao valo nei", no one is happy anywhere. "Bheja chokh dekhaini tomay", I've never let you see my tearful eyes... Etc etc These lyrics are so meaningful .. That I've never paid any attention to the mv..
Some people will say shironamhin is overrated now. These people are actually overrated in the way they think them very wise ! We are supporting shironamhin from the first album and we know their transitions. Every great band might have transitions and in the case of shironamhin it's fine. They created great songs before but they are also great now. In the interviews the main mastermind behind shironamhin - zia vai and shafin vai say that they still have their old signature but they will always find newness and freshness in subroots crafting the body. One of the best assets our nation gifted to modern world is Bassbaba Shumon ( he is one of the best bassists of the world ) from band Aurthohin who highly patronized the new generation band culture of Bangladesh praises the latest vocal of Shironamhin Sheikh Ishtiaque. Zia vai humbly metions that tanzir tuhin has something what ishtiaque doesn't have and ishtiaque has something which tanzir tuhin doesn't have. We don't know how our songs actually sounds to the foreigners but we have our own intense flavour that drives our emotions crazy.... that's much enough sometimes. And new generation is trying to create internationally commercial music or like international mainstream and they are also doing good.

Haris bhai interpreted the song very beautifully. Thanks for reacting...finally! If you notice my comment, I would request you to react on following songs & singers: #Masha_Islam's cover (you will be astonished after listening her. She has a phenomenonal voice. She is gonna appear on coke studio too!) #Warfaze (Purnota, Sob alo nibhe jak, Boshe achi eka) #Tribute to idols by Sinha Brothers #some popular songs from Bengali movies like, Ahare Jibon from Doob, Kanamachi from Television, Jao Pakhi bolo tare from Monpura, Tomake chai from Fagun Haway, Ami tomari naam gai from Bhubon Majhi.
Only thing about Shironamhin I would say is that "Metaphor" is the word that defines them, because no other words in their entire discography will describe them anywhere near what it actually is.
You should dig into them to understand Shironamhin much better, Listen to early songs of Shironamhin (With Tanzir Tuhin as vocal). Songs like Bondho Janala, Hashimukh, Abar Hashimukh etc.
Bro it is about lyrics. When you understand the lyrics you will automatically connect with this video. You can call this song the National anthem of Bangladeshi band and every song of this band have unique and deep meaning

Hello. Looking at the reviews of your Bangla songs lately. Honestly, as a Bengali, as a music lover, I am happy and proud that you are promoting Bangla songs in the TH-cam. You may have heard some songs already. You know that band music is very popular in Bengal. The songs of many of these singers are really unique. But the song I'm going to talk to you about today is Black (Chul) by Pragata Naoha. This song by Indalo Genre is unique in one word story and song. Please listen and watch the song.Thank you for your wonderful work.
The people recognises shironamhin by two individuals. The basist Zia(who wrote and composed most of the songs), the ex-vocal Tuhin. There is an album named Jahaji. I know you people might have heard the title track -"Jahaji". If you didn't, do listen. I don't know if you feel the song worthy enough to react on, but this song has some other type of feeling. It will take you up and drop onto the ocean in a small boat with a boatman. You will keep on drifting through out the whole song. Do listen.
Hey Guys, Thanks for your continuous Bangladeshi Music Review. I am suggesting you please listen another Rock Band of BD #Warfaze. Specially Album 'Shotto" and 'Pothchola'. I am sure you guys will find new window of BD music.
Please react on Pritom Hasan's dark psychedelic disco song "Morey Jaak" and "Khoka". You will love it for sure. I would love to see your reaction on these songs (specially Morey Jak one, you may wanna check the first comment where someone successfully decoded the message) as I really like your reviews rather than some so called reaction videos. N.B. this song (ei obelay) is the successful transitional song of Shironamhin where the founding member/vocal Tuhin left the band (got sued for singing "his" old songs in his newly formed band). Shironamheen fans were furious about that, they still don't get over the action of other members of shironamheen. This is the song where fans started to accept shironamheen 2.0. You must check out real shironamheen's song " Bondho Janala", "abar hashimukh", " Jahaji"
Well you actually don't need to bother so much about the song. As I mentioned before, the best from Shironamhin was there first album, and their following next couple of albums were also good. But since then they've mostly been riding their popularity and releasing mediocre songs which are way too over hyped. Specially those of us who've been listening to music for longer, make fun of these 'ei obelay' hooligans because most of them only started listening to music recently and don't know the real good stuffs. I feel sorry for you guys that you were made to go through this quite mediocre song with so much expectations. Let's be frank for once and for all, this is a very very average song which tried to do a lot of things and tried to recreate some of their old magic. But they just don't have some of those members anymore who really made it click (not only Tanzir Tuhin, but also Farhan and Tushar).
You should focus on "Artcell" now. It is the best bengali metal group. If u want to feel the depth of its lyrics, you have to learn Bengali first. WEll to be real honest, lyrics are the lifeline of bangla music. Once you understand the lyrics in bangla, the song becomes 10 times beautiful
