IS correlation also possible in graph prism? Like correlation heat maps generated in R studio.

    I have a question:
I have an excel data table with a 100 people. they are either a controll group or the intervention group and 8 bio markers got analysed at baseline and after 6 month. which kind of data table should I use to create the descriptive statistics first?

To create descriptive statistics for your data in GraphPad Prism, you should use a data table format that organizes your data in a structured manner. Based on your description, I would suggest using a "Grouped" data table format.
Here's an example of how you can structure your data table:
Participant Group Time Point Biomarker 1 Biomarker 2 Biomarker 3 Biomarker 4 Biomarker 5 Biomarker 6 Biomarker 7 Biomarker 8
1 Control Baseline Value Value Value Value Value Value Value Value
1 Control 6 Months Value Value Value Value Value Value Value Value
2 Intervention Baseline Value Value Value Value Value Value Value Value
2 Intervention 6 Months Value Value Value Value Value Value Value Value
      ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
100 Control Baseline Value Value Value Value Value Value Value Value
100 Control 6 Months Value Value Value Value Value Value Value Value
In this table, each row represents an individual participant, and the columns represent different variables. The "Participant" column assigns a unique identifier to each participant. The "Group" column specifies whether the participant is in the control or intervention group. The "Time Point" column indicates whether the measurements were taken at baseline or after 6 months. The "Biomarker" columns contain the actual measurements for each biomarker.
By organizing your data in this way, you can easily calculate descriptive statistics for each biomarker separately, considering different groups and time points as needed in GraphPad Prism.

@@gomstechtalks Thanks for your quick response!!
So I created a grouped table now. My rows are my participants and group A is "Biomarker 1 Baseline", group B is "Biomarker 1 6 month", group C is "biomarker 2 Baseline" Etc.
But I dont understand how I can get the mean, SD and difference of those between the baseline and after 6 month of every biomarker :(

Great video, thank you! Is graphpad prism compatible only when we transfer data from excel? What if we use alternatives to excel such as google sheets, or WPS office?

Thank you for your comment! GraphPad Prism is a versatile statistical and scientific graphing software that can work with data from various sources, including Excel, Google Sheets, and WPS Office. While Excel is a commonly used program for data entry and analysis, Prism offers the flexibility to import data from other spreadsheet applications as well.
To use data from Google Sheets or WPS Office in GraphPad Prism, you can export your data from those programs into a format compatible with Prism, such as CSV (Comma-Separated Values) or tab-delimited text files. Once you have your data exported, you can easily import it into Prism and perform your statistical analysis and graphing.
It's worth noting that when transferring data between different spreadsheet applications, it's important to ensure that the data formatting and structure are preserved accurately. In some cases, you may need to adjust the formatting or make minor modifications to the data to ensure seamless compatibility.
Overall, whether you use Excel, Google Sheets, or WPS Office, GraphPad Prism provides compatibility with various data sources, allowing you to analyze and visualize your data effectively.

@@gomstechtalks Thank you so much for your detailed explanation Dr. Gomathi! I really appreciate your insight! :) I have newly joined as a postdoc in Harvard in an Immunology lab, though I'm from a clinical background so it's a new domain for me that I'm picking up. Your review of the graphpad prism has been incredibly helpful, I really appreciate it!
