Was just out their at NSB Jetty and I caught a 4ft shark off live shrimp!! He jumped off right at the big rock.. Wasn't till about an hour later i caught a few mangrove snapper... I want to get over to the North side Jetty!! Also whats the difference between that fish your buddy caught and a Sheepshead? Thanks for the great content you give us. Vamos a ver si nos encontramos un dia!! Cheers
What scale did you use? I've caught sheephead that were over 20" that weighed around 7 pounds. And out of all the slot snook I caught the heaviest slot at 32" was 13lbs. Seems a little high for that size sheephead.
@@redsfishing-pescarojas734 ok that just seems heavy for the length. I've caught fish that have been much heavier then they appear. I'm suprised I haven't seen you at the new smyrna side jetty before. I fish it quite often.
I usually fish at ponce inlet and this was my first time at this jetty. I will be going there more often perhaps this Tuesday. I Want to catch some pompanos there since it’s been a little slow at ponce inlet for last three weeks. If you ever see me there come buy and I’ll show you the pic of the sheepshead on the scale. It was a pretty fatty fish.
@@redsfishing-pescarojas734 I'll take your word on it. Definitely a stud Sheephead. I'll be back to hitting the new smyrna jetty in a few weeks. I'll see you out there. I tied up 100+ teasers and got a mold for making pompano jigs. So I'll be ready when this water warms up again.
It was such a stud my buddy called it a black drum! Pompanos are out there again. I have a few teasers myself and I also jig for them. See you out there.
Great video bro!! Love the NSB side!
Thanks Bro! Nice spot to fish.
Thanks so much for showing us how you rig the jig
Damn that's a long hike to the jetty!! Idk if I should go now
It’s a long walk if you are in the park but you can drive on the beach and park close to the rocks.
@@redsfishing-pescarojas734 ah good to know. Next Christmas I need a trunk lol. Where do you enter the beach from?
@@IVIusicMayhem there are several entrances to the beach from
N Penninsula Ave
@@redsfishing-pescarojas734 thanks for the info!
Looks super nice out man, good one 👍
Thanks!
What part of new Symernia is this?
It’s the south jetty of ponce inlet. It’s also called Smyrna Dunes park,
Great explanation never been on that side sick video
Thanks bro!
It’s a nice place to fish and rocks are more flat making it easier to walk on.
It’s been slow over on ponce side sheeps and sharks
I know , that's why I went to the other side to try fishing there. It's going to get warmer next week and hopefully pomps move in again.
How much does it cost to fish off this jetty? I visited the area but it seemed like they wanted 20 dollars to go into the park where the jetty is ?
It's $10 per day and $20 for an annual pass to the park. If you want drive your car on to the beach then it is $20 per day.

A WINCO scale. It was a fat sheepshead. You can appreciate it more when fish it’s in front of you rather than on the video.
