the intro / main riff is so similar to Mr Jack's beginning/interlude. i didnt even realize i could play the beginning bass riff to mr jack on guitar tilll my friend pointed out that the 2 bottom strings on the bass are similarly tuned to the top 2 on the guitar. i bought a guitar this year mainly to learn how to play these songs, this visual aid is so helpful
Getting an electric in a week I think I found my new teacher for learning some SOAD! Would you be willing to do a forest cover with tabs as well? Thanks for the amazing content ✊🏽👌🏽👌🏽 keep jamming✊🏽
I'm really really glad T.J. Thanks a lot for your comment! for me inspiring someone to grag the guitar and play is the greatest satisfaction! 👊💥 In the last two days I recevied from you awesome guys like 6 requests for Soad songs so be patient and I will post everything asap 🤘🤘🤘
@@StevenPerrone You’ve helped me to pick the guitar up and start playing again so no sir I must say thank you, your a true inspiration!! And awesome can’t wait for the new vids to drop!!!🙌🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
I'm very happy cause pick up an instrument and play music imo it's one of best thing in the world! Music makes us feel alive and again I'm really happy that thanks to my videos you feels alive right now with your guitar in your hands! 🎸💥 Keep on rockin my man!!! 👊🤘
Cool cover, do you remember if you were strumming the low C string really lightly in the intro or if your setup just allowed it to ring out without overpowering the other strings? Maybe I just need to turn down drive
I don't pick too hard usually and if I remember well I was on a very very light crunch setting in the verse and then I engaged the distortion in the chorus
Explain by words is not easy...I play four downstrokes then up down 2 downstrokes then up down. But the part can be played in different ways, here is important to get the right rhythm so listen carefully to the part and eventually slow it down in the settings and you will nailed it!If not pm on Instagram and I can help you better
I'm sorry I don't have anymore the rp360 but If I remember well the distortion tone was the Marshall Jcm 900 amp dirt channel (don't remember the exact name) and the clean tone just one of the clean patches with some reverb.
Yeah you have to strum it but you have also to mute it with your middle finger so you will play an octave instead of a power chord. The 'x' in tabs usually means a muted string with you left hand or with you right hand in case is on the zero fret (empty string). 🎸
Your not hitting the right notes according to the tab screen. Your two frets lower a lot of the time .. How do you get the strings to stay so still while you play thats amazing. Thank you for the video
1:12 doesn’t match that’s the first I cared to validate the fact of the matter so you know it was an observation Built on constructive criticism. You could do better and be original in a good way. Try
Hi Theeth sorry but I don't understand your comments...maybe you don't know the right way to read tabs because I'm not hitting two frets lower. I think you reading tabs upside down.
@@StevenPerrone at 1:12 it's correct, BUT starting at 1:36 the tabs don't change from 9x7 and 7x5 even though you switch to playing what looks like 12x14 and 10x12. Not sure but it also sounds like there's a 13x15 in there too.
you nailed the song, but im even more impressed with how well you matched the tone, especially in the opening.
Very underrated song
True! This song is great and underrated, imo cause is on the 1st album. If it was on Hypnotize or Mesmerize everyone would know it
@@StevenPerrone The first album is actually my favourite

2:03 if anyone having trouble figuring out how to play this rotate the pick 90 degrees with the edge facing the strings and it should be easier
the first song on guitar that i master as a beginner, beautiful song
Nice cover! It's pretty easy for me, but those single picks on the solo got me crying

Just because you see his hand swing by the strings doesn't mean he's playing he's just keeping time
Good. Solo tremolo picking or downstroke?
Thanks buddy. Solo is tremolo picking.

Hello, one question, what equipment do you use?
Hello José, back then I was using the Epiphone Sg and the Digitech Rp360 multi effects unit. I don't have them anymore now.
@@StevenPerrone ok, thank you very much, sorry my english is not that good hahahaha
What kind of pedal do you use?
For this I was using a Digitech Rp360 multi effect unit, didn't have it anymore
