Have you thought about using Angelus leather paint? They are acrylic based paints designed to flex and bend with the item. I do custom work on LV and that is my go to! Highly recommend!
Same question for you as above - if you do custom work on LV bags, would you recommend not purchasing a pre loved bag with a small crack by the zipper on a speedy? The owner took the bag to a shoe repair place and they said it was so tiny that they couldn’t do anything about it. Would love to hear your thoughts/recommendations
@@MrsDking1223 I too do custom work on bags I fix them up, fix cranks do new leatherwork stuff like that. Cracks shouldn’t deter you from buying a bag :)

Just wanted to ask you a question I have a Louis Vuitton messenger bag and as it’s cowhide leather it has slightly small rip due to constant use as the texture of the bag is waxed and shiny what do you recommend using to cover the small rip? I heard that leather fillers will do the job? Thanks for your time
Love your channel. I have a LV bag and a nail file accidentally "pocked" thru the canvas just slightly - it is not a "hole" - it is a pin crick about less than a centimeter - there is no cracking on the bag - the canvas is in good shape otherwise.......
Hi I bought a used palermo bag. A tiny piece of the vachetta/glazing in one of the bottom corners is worn to the rubber is about 1cm of that to prevent that from getting bigger what would you recommend? Should I use some sort of adhesive also is there a edge kote or any other product I can use to cover up other imperfections? Thank you
Edge coat and a wood burning tool on the lowest setting with a fine tip after it drys there is a woman on youtube that fixes canvas cracks with that and it looks just like new
I haven't tried it but I've seen people use leather cement to fill the cracks, sand it to make it smooth, and then the acrylic paint to match the color of your leather, like how Hunter shows us with the canvas. Good luck!
Is there anyway to restore dried vachetta leather shoulder straps? Bought a preloved Sac Shopping online, didn’t realize how dried the straps are, they looks clean, but no sheen or patina on them only dryness. Sad…I’m afraid to use it and ruining it further.

I am deciding whether or not I want to keep it and repair the cracks or return it (the seller was sorry and offered to take it back as the damage wasn’t disclosed in the auction). Do you think it would be worthwhile to keep and repair or will the cracks spread further? Thank you in advance!

I’ve seen videos on using super glue,our clear tacky glue on fixing the cracks,what do you think of that? I have a 1986 LV Noe,top vachetta couple cracks,and just bought a 2000 montsouris MM and it’s cracked in front corners,what would b your suggestions? I can post some pics

Do you know if Angelus paint can be diluted with water? I want to touch up my Dooney but I want to give it more of a stain than full on paint
You are pretty much the only person who I listen to in terms of Louis Vuitton. I have a ton of cracks in the canvas of both of my Louis Vuitton’s.
So did they fix it
I would never add acrylic paint to Louis Vuitton to repair it…ever. I repair these bags everyday and I only use products made for repairing leather.

You can always use a leather filler once it dries then the acrylic paint

Have you ever done the hot needle method? Everyone I know usually recommends dabbing a hot needle to the hairline cracks.

condition it with apple brand conditioner its on ebay and amazon
Use Cadillac Leather it’s the best conditioner I’ve found
Get leather filler… then paint it.. and use angelus..

Send it back while you still can . Crack lv canvas isnt good at all.
