My a onogram only went behind my knee...then the
doctor met with me and told me I did not have a DVT. however, MY left leg is VERY VERY SWOLLEN, Red near the ankle, hot to touch, and VERY, VERY PAINFUL!!!!

I think PAD also cause leg swelling, I was too late to known about this, dad has swelling on his leg(R), & an open sore was formed, & we dressed it up with Medicines in a Primary health care centre for 3 days, seems like it's not healing & once we booked appointment with a surgen, on the same day dad has heart attack followed by PE. We lost him. So, better always research about all these diseases when experience any discomfort in your leg. All the doctors here will not check properly, especially in Gov't doctors. Not everyone, but there are many many careless doctors. If we found this earlier we could possibly treat this problem. So many people have this & not properly diagnosed, once it become worse, something bad is gonna happen, it's life threatening. Be aware of all these. We only came to know this issue after dad passed away. There was leg pain in the past months, but he didn't say to anyone, dad regularly consult some doctors & bought pain killers. So, that makes him live with PAD, once it become worse & its final stages edema will form. Even he didn't tell anybody, we noticed it before a week of his passing & the doctor we seen at that time, she also don't say anything complicated. Finally when the sores was not healing we booked to see a surgen, but it was too late. Before seeing the surgen dad was gone. So, better always act fast, & take opinion from the best, must take seriously if u have any pain in ur leg, hand, that is the earlier symptom if your arteries had buildup with plaques. And better you go and consult a Good experienced cardio Vascular surgeon Specialist.

I've had this procedure done in the past and found that I couldn't withstand the compression in my groin area and resulted in being an incomplete test. Now I have to get it done again, isn't there an easier way to tolerate the pressing pain, like I did tell them to put me under or knock me out but I am certain that they didn't understand. Help!

Omg when they did the ultrasound on my leg, the nurse kept shoving that scanner/reader in my leg. It was super painful that’s how bad a deep vein thrombus hurts

I did this a few times but just did it today bc I had clots in my lungs but he just had me flex my foot and said awesome lol. Better be awesome I do blood thinner injections twice a day

Hello - thanks for your question. I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but I'll try to answer. The DVT study can be used with the same scanner/transducer that MSK studies are performed with - typically a linear scanner with a frequency of of at least 7 MHz.
