ahhh just by the name alone i can imagine, well a synthetic sanctuary lmao, but like what if it was made by the man villain as a trap or something and like it could be near the end of the protag's journey and its their final challenge, and they could get visions of the person they gotta save or some shit

This reminds me of the Undertale pacifist run and the walk from new home to the throne room.
God damn I love this. This definitely fits that vibe of entering an area and just being blown away by how beautiful the music is (cough cough xenoblade cough). That main melody absolutely hits, amazing job as always!

Oh yeah, this is definitely "room before the last boss where the player or rather player party has to fight through a gauntlet of (rather easy, maybe even unlosable) bosses to proceed to the final boss, who is actually the player's friend turned last boss due to a tragic reason and actually trying to do the right thing but the party can't let them destroy the world even if it is an illusion because they've come to love the characters in it" vibes.
Few games have made me cry. I can think of maybe 2 or 3. This song hits that exact feeling PERFECTLY! This is the exact reason Shady is, and has been such an inspiration for me.
Very emotional song, but I wouldn't say I'd cry during it. It gives more of a motivational, inspirational, vibe. Like, you just found out that villain isn't the villain and the person you trusted most betrayed you. Now, you're out to set things right.
Was about to comment about how Xenoblade this sounds and then saw you even pointed it out in the description. This captures the epic, somber, bittersweet, and emotional feeling those songs give you perfectly, well done my man

I read the title and instantly was reminded of snowbells city.
Not sure about crying, but could definitely be a song overlay for a montage scene of the journey so far, with some dialog and awkward laughter of certain parts slipped in during the pauses.
The slower segments and name of this song make me think of the part of Undertale where you visit asgore’s house and the story of the underground is told to you by every monster as the song ‘Undertale’ plays.
There is a video game track to make me cry. Temporal Tower.
Don't get me wrong, this is great, and does give me feels, and I love it!

Title reminds me of the point in 7th Dragon III Code: VFD's story where the normally cheery background music of the main hub, "The Daily Grind", becomes the very sad "If Only These Hands Could Reach".

This feels like a twist final boss against someone you've been close friends with for the entire game

I think you labeled it very well honestly. It gives off loss and determination in face of that loss. Nicely done.
The parts after the silent ones fills me with some strange motivation, like I have to finish the journey, no matter what pain I have gone trough.
It's giving "Hero is falling through the sky, remembering everything they've lost and overcome on the way to the final area, and they awaken some latent power and transform into their Final Form and soar back up to rejoin their crew and fight the final battle"
