"It's intelligent enough to recognize the weapon you're using and adapt its moveset accordingly" If only more of the existing monsters in the main series had that kind of intelligence...
I can possibly explain the weird hip decorations and the finger whips pretty easily. It's body-plan is based on a nightjar. Nightjars are birds that some have somewhat extreme feathers that are display structures (looks good for mates). The biggest giveaway are those whip-fingers are placed the same as the pennant-winged nightjar's 2 massive trailing feathers. Meanwhile the weird hip things could either be the scissor-tailed or lyre-tailed nightjar (more likely scissor-tailed because of the length). Heck! even the base coloration is pretty close to most nightjars (a mixture of dark/light browns, and some have a small splash of an orange-ish color).
Except those feathers male nightjars have are temporary and much lighter than what this monster has. So while male nightjars have problems flying during mating season (the whole point of such feathers is to show females that male is strong enough to fly even with something as inconvenient as massive feathers) this wyvern should be unable to fly at all, tbh
I feel like a thunder element temnoceran would be pretty boss, functioning more with traps and counters by using conductive webbing to transfer electricity, enabling it to zap and web foes in one fell sweep. 'Course, that's basically Pokemon's Galvantula, but it'd be something cool to muse on.
As I said before, I would love it if you covered Gurenzeburu. It's titled the "barbarian wyvern" but is actually pretty docile under normal circumstances. This guy's ecology and lore is very interesting. Also it's a water monster and we really need more of those.
I love Gurenzeburu because it's a Plesioth clone that's lower to the ground and has the typical large Flying Wyvern wings therefore making it's hipcheck hitbox make sense. In other words it's a better Plesioth than Plesioth.
I love the irony of Josh explaining that when you’re using ranged weapons he stays close and when you’re using melee weapons he stays far away when the footage he uses shows the exact opposite, it’s hilarious

I've been thinking for a long time that every monster should have different movesets based on their size and this video just added onto it with the knowledge of this monster. Rather than just making gold crown monsters bigger, have them use unique moves and strategies that we would never get from smaller sizes. Their attacks would be slower, but more powerful such as raging brachy compared to normal brachy with basic strategies based on your weapon since they've lived long enough to realize what some weapons can/cannot do. You could even take a step further and have small crown monsters with less moves than normal with less damage, but much faster example being normal rajang compared to furious rajang from iceborne. You don't need to have every monster full out predict your weapons like the monster in the video, but have random large crowns, small crowns and normal sized monsters with varied stats, movesets and behaviors to give more diversity that all fans can enjoy.
Funnily enough I like everything except his head, though it could work. Unlike a lot of frontier monsters I would be pretty happy to see this monster return with only a slight design retouching.

I agree, keep the concept, but give an upgrade or evolve look.
if they do bring him back i recon they'd tweak his move set a lot, to show the aggression and intellect
Why are they trying to GS look bad? Because to be fair there are quite a few Users out there with the intellect of a teaspoon.
*tries not to become murderous from the opening ear rape*
I just started playing Monster Hunter World und my audio cuts of sometimes und is a bit fucked does someone know what i can do against that ?
I know it’s not from frontier, but I’m still waiting for King Shakalaka
Honestly, I would love to hear more on combo elements. Who else thinks so?
Funnily enough I like everything except his head, though it could work. Unlike a lot of frontier monsters I would be pretty happy to see this monster return with only a slight design retouching.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I just need a mhfrontier ramake so bad
The Gorge would have been a good map for rise
