Not to mention tears of the kingdom runs fairly well on switch, so I'm not sure why it would be hard to believe this wouldn't.
Xbox timed exclusivity I think. It was in some of their Xbox Direct.
i hope a port comes eventually the game looks really fun.
Demo sold me. It was genius and essential for them to have dropped it. I understood concepts way better and actually put on wish list.
i'm about 2/3rds in, and it's fantastic! it just gets better and better.
I was sold on this after the demo and I got to see the combat wasn't too bad. Getting this and Kinitsu Gami as a reason to have gamepass PC for a month.

Playing it right now, its really an amazing and fun game
Right now, sadly, this game is completely unplayable for me. I am playing on pc gamepass. Is anyone else doing this having an issue with the "climb" control? She will not climb for me, no matter what i change the button to. And when i keep it at the default button mapping, "climb" us the same button as "dodge" so any time i try to climb, she just dodges.
Looks interesting. Shame it isn't available for PlayStation but hopefully it will be brought across at some point so I can experience it.

I've been curious about this game leading up to launch but after watching a few reviews it ultimately looks really dull and the combat looks very clunky.
It looks like they put in a lot of effort though.
My main issue is that they game sounds like it will demand alot of your time to get through but gameplay, story, combat.... none of that looks like anything i want to spend alot of time on.
I think if this had been a more focused and shorter experience i'd have been more interested.

I love the look of this, and it sounds like my kind of gameplay as well! Hopefully it sells well and gets ported to the Switch!

Well look the guy who said something about hipsters is kind of got a point. I've noticed that this sort of aestetic tends to focus on probably the phase of life that is most PERSONAL like age 24 - 35. Where you are kinda getting up there in age but also kinda not really necessarily having kids and stuff. It's a time when you are supposed to turn inward unlike when you're younger and you're trying to establish your public identity. So really the stories that are told about this time of people's life tend to be really non-gamery because the main character is all about satisfying themselves and finding their peace with not placating others. So to watch a character like that is kind of eh... okay for me personally. Contrast that with say Naruto or Luffy or Ashe Catchem who tie their identity desperately into their future with other people and they would rather die than not carve out a public persona for themselves.

Anytime a game has a colorful palette, cool traversal and unique atmosphere it's coming out as an XBOX exclusive. This started with Sunset Overdrive.

I like the vibe of this, but I don't know if I can get past the walking animation of the main character, looks like she's got a poopy diaper

Most games nowadays have garbage animation, it's a skill that has mostly been lost to time.
Yeah I really like the art style - kinda the same aesthetic as Hifi-Rush - but there are aspects of the art direction and design choices that make me a little less excited.
The walking animation does have that look to it, but I think the main characters default outfit by itself has a frompy-ness to it that I could do without. I’ve seen in the comments that there is like, maybe one or two other outfits you can unlock, but for a game like this I’d like a little more customization in the characters appearance.

Absolutely loved this game and was sad when it ended. I wasn't gonna play it because of the main character but i ended up liking everyone in Hinterberg. Its got the soul of an old-school action rpg and that's something sorely missing from games today. Fantastic style and amazing music too. 9.5/10 easily.

It didn’t hit for me either. For a long time. I review a lot of games though so I attribute it to exhaustion and try to stay motivated when playing games that maybe I’d be in the mood for a different time. Anyway. A week ago I was just playing at night and the relationships and everything just clicked.
It's kind of a simple game. Laid back, doesn't really offer anything in terms of complexity. All of the mechanics are basically just copied from other games. The aesthetics are nice overal, but the characters themselves just look bland (especially the main character). It's the kind of game you'd play if you want to play something that doesn't give much resistance to the player. Overal just not really my kind of game.

This looks cool but the character model looks fucking awful.
The main character is pretty stupid and it just feels ridiculous to me. I feel like a woman like Bayonetta or the girl from Lollipop chainsaw actually would be more believable. I guess some people might think it's cool, but I wonder if it would be more successful with a more traditional hero or at least a badass character.

It’s a fuckin indie game it’s the definition of cheap. Everything doesn’t have to be a million dollar AAA title
(0:25) The interactions are corny and unfulfilling. Who was this game made for? The art design for this game is also not really immersive and copies it's cell shading design from a host of other games. Why was there barely any germanic lore in the game? They could have capitalized on the grimm themes but failed too do so. (0:30) The morals in this game are shallow and make players hate the characters even more (especially the mc) because they whine too much. The storytelling is awful in this game. Of course the issues are compounded by the lgbtq themes, the butch hairstyles and hipster outfits which make every character in this game look weak and ridiculous. (1:40) No one cares for relationships with npcs if they're poorly designed. (2:20) This game is linear by Arpg standards. Overall, this game is a game about needing validation with unreal expectations, design choices and poor writing. Again I ask: Who was this game made for? Despite all the woke whining, the gaming space is still 85% male dominated. This game is a flop.
