Xenoverse was such a surreal experience when it came out, and one of the big DBZ games of the era. Obviously it had alot of issues, but I think we were all starved for dbz content so we neglected alot of its issues

I've had a love-hate relationship with Storm as a whole since I've kept up with it, not even just 4. I could dig into the games for hours about all their flaws but it doesn't change the fact that I still had enjoyment out of them and that they still carried an impact. Being into the Storm games and the community with it was honestly a long winded gateway as to how I've even met half the friends I've known now for nearly a decade. The sad part especially with 4 though besides online is that it was DELAYED and still turned out the mess it did. Modders finding 3D cutscenes that were supposed to be in place of the shaking, film grained, anime shots we got in Story. SPECTACTING matches which wasn't added until like a YEAR later. The New Generations pack coming out of nowhere that still didn't include Konohamaru and others. And *_EVERYTHING ELSE_* that was removed and never brought back from previous games, or never got added in general. It makes me wonder what really went down: Was it more of CC2's screw up? Was it Bandai? Was it because of them jumping over to the next gen consoles? Though with all that said, I honestly give props to the people who still play this game. Side note: I actually didn't know ALL of Kaguya's lava attacks were unblockable, insane. And as annoying as Guard Type/Dash Cut was back in Storm 3, I feel like banning Dash Cut in these 4 tourneys is a bit much. It still pains me knowing that one Shuriken Switch glitch is probably still around too.
It's really sad to see that the development team never addressed these issues. It's like you said, they don't really care about online competition and that clearly shows after 5 years.

Hopefully CC2 can make the new Demon Slayer game with the same level of polish and prestige. It may not be as many games in a series but I still wanna see it succeed and get sequals
CC2 is at its best when it's making high quality cutscenes for story mode but the general gameplay of the game looks like the same mashy mehness that arena fighters are used to. I feel like the impact of the demon slayer story mode will be much less because ufotable's adaptation was already god like and if CC2 does any weird budget cuts like it did in kakarot it will show off even more
@@khaledm.1476 For Kakarot it wasn't budget but time restraints, that's why up to the Frieza fight they had consistent beautiful cutscenes but less after, they ran out of time. Gameplay I can't really argue against but hey this is CC2, I'm sure they can find a way to make the story just as or even more visually stunning than Ufotable. Damn now I'm hoping CC2 makes a game based off the Fate franchise (also animated by Ufotable)

Ik their will never be a storm 5 but gotta say tho it would be interesting to see if there will ever be another naruto fighter soon. MOST of the top teir players really aren't that good... Take away their op glitches and they can't win even one fight.
Tbh It always irritated me that they never really did anything besides the usual 1 v 1 and 3 v 3. They did the whole battle royal type mode in revolution but it never made a return. They could’ve went the route the clash of ninja series did and do a 4-way battle

Temari is only broken when used as a support in teams. When someone uses her with a full gauge bar. When she is on the sidelines, She has the ability to stagger her opponents with wind attacks and you can't do anything about It.

I was tired of waiting for the last episode of naruto shippuden, so I just went out and bought storm 4 😂 I think some things I dislike about storm 4 is that there are like over 5 copy of naruto/sasuke or other multiple of other characters. And some characters has customizable justus and some are just ignore. I swear there was one super rare glitch when my brother and I were playing the game! We were so close to death and at the end I came out on top! As I thought but his whole health bar reset! Both were like wtf! I had to fight him again with a fresh new set of health bars! I lost but it was a really wtf moment.

The game is trash on the multiplayer side,everything from the combos(ascetically),graphics,music,character design are perfect but when it comes to hating this game I feel like most of it comes from the core mechanics and how it effects the multiplayer experience .There are clearly character advantages(characters that are just overall better than most of them)The core game is really broken and there are a lot of other factors that don’t help the multiplayers case such as CONSISTENT lag,broken combos,weird combo cancellations,unbalanced assists,etc.To put it simple the game isn’t anywhere near perfect but when things work in your favor it’s enjoyable.
1st off, ESL is more than 3-4 years old now and since then there has been different changes in the ruleset and meta game since then, that kakashi is more underused now and has seen less play over the years or even yugito, or switch tech with darui or tobi, etc. 2. ESL is taken lightly, within the storm community, because esl wasn't truly consistant as a online tournament with people faking wins/cheating, and usually winners didn't even get the prizes that ESL even wager'd if you came first. This has caused good players to not even take esl seriously for the lack of effort they put in their tournies. So esl is not a good source sorry. 3. No we're not hungry for a naruto games. shinobi strikers, and the naruto mobile games is proof enough that we don't really care for other naruto games, its more like we want the storm series to continue, not naruto games. 4. Don't get me wrong Thesamie is a good player for majority of matches but usually isn't the type of player that is a god at the game, esl horribly failed and he was able to captialized on that by just winning their tournies because uh well, no high level player really wanted to waste their time on a poorly organized tourney for online battle. 5. The glitches you showcased are kinda highly uncommon to do in regular matches because usually we wouldn't get caught by them because they takes alot of setup and usually has a lot of risk for no reward almost, baisically meaning theres no use to it (and not only that, you can escape that lee version of it and they don't give free secret techniques). Tbh i wouldn't expect anybody that doesn't play the storm series for years to know this, but you should make sure your information is narrowed, instead of heavily relying on 1 or 2 sources.
What makes me sad is storm 3 had none of these issues. There wouldn't have been any tournament ruleset as extensive as s4 has, for the sheer fact that everything was beatable. There was really good shit to be abused (ia minato, known, guy) but the community developed so fast that counter play was discovered, and once you knew what style you were facing, with enough experience you knew how to fight it. Only glitch the game had was a super up close Team ultimate because of the freeze frame, but there was counter play to even that. The dev team intentionally try to kill competitive storm, though it still exists a VAST majority of the players that loved storm 3 competitively just never grabbed the next 2 games. They wanted to make it a money grab and the idiots still playing are doing exactly that while their dev team gives 0 fucks about the mess that is storm 4

You can use her Doki demon as a meat shield for timing out the opponent, 2 good supports will help cover you as well.

Why is she banned?
She's banned becuase of one her doki's (the fat one) stops justu's and chakra dashes. Meaning that she can hide behind it while throwing shuriken, which btw her shuriken gives a lot of damage so basically meta tayuya players run the time out and win by health lead

Temari is only broken when used as a support in teams. When someone uses her with a full gauge bar. When she is on the sidelines, She has the ability to stagger her opponents with wind attacks and you can't do anything about It.

I liked the game when it came out, I loved the visuals and the story mode but everything else falls flat the adventure mode and the multiplayer

I was tired of waiting for the last episode of naruto shippuden, so I just went out and bought storm 4 😂
I think some things I dislike about storm 4 is that there are like over 5 copy of naruto/sasuke or other multiple of other characters. And some characters has customizable justus and some are just ignore.
I swear there was one super rare glitch when my brother and I were playing the game! We were so close to death and at the end I came out on top! As I thought but his whole health bar reset! Both were like wtf! I had to fight him again with a fresh new set of health bars! I lost but it was a really wtf moment.

Uns4 it's an amazing game, by far the best anime game ever game (along side fighterz) and it has literally every you could ask for as a Naruto fan.

Dude i HATE the online pvp, it just feels like button mashing and fucking infinite combos piss me off, also i legit keep trying my hardest to learn this game but people with 2 hours in the game sit here and dude fucking infinite combos all day and have the reaction time of god, its bullshit.
The game is trash on the multiplayer side,everything from the combos(ascetically),graphics,music,character design are perfect but when it comes to hating this game I feel like most of it comes from the core mechanics and how it effects the multiplayer experience .There are clearly character advantages(characters that are just overall better than most of them)The core game is really broken and there are a lot of other factors that don’t help the multiplayers case such as CONSISTENT lag,broken combos,weird combo cancellations,unbalanced assists,etc.To put it simple the game isn’t anywhere near perfect but when things work in your favor it’s enjoyable.

1st off, ESL is more than 3-4 years old now and since then there has been different changes in the ruleset and meta game since then, that kakashi is more underused now and has seen less play over the years or even yugito, or switch tech with darui or tobi, etc.
2. ESL is taken lightly, within the storm community, because esl wasn't truly consistant as a online tournament with people faking wins/cheating, and usually winners didn't even get the prizes that ESL even wager'd if you came first. This has caused good players to not even take esl seriously for the lack of effort they put in their tournies. So esl is not a good source sorry.
3. No we're not hungry for a naruto games. shinobi strikers, and the naruto mobile games is proof enough that we don't really care for other naruto games, its more like we want the storm series to continue, not naruto games.
4. Don't get me wrong Thesamie is a good player for majority of matches but usually isn't the type of player that is a god at the game, esl horribly failed and he was able to captialized on that by just winning their tournies because uh well, no high level player really wanted to waste their time on a poorly organized tourney for online battle.
5. The glitches you showcased are kinda highly uncommon to do in regular matches because usually we wouldn't get caught by them because they takes alot of setup and usually has a lot of risk for no reward almost, baisically meaning theres no use to it (and not only that, you can escape that lee version of it and they don't give free secret techniques).
Tbh i wouldn't expect anybody that doesn't play the storm series for years to know this, but you should make sure your information is narrowed, instead of heavily relying on 1 or 2 sources.

What makes me sad is storm 3 had none of these issues. There wouldn't have been any tournament ruleset as extensive as s4 has, for the sheer fact that everything was beatable. There was really good shit to be abused (ia minato, known, guy) but the community developed so fast that counter play was discovered, and once you knew what style you were facing, with enough experience you knew how to fight it.
Only glitch the game had was a super up close Team ultimate because of the freeze frame, but there was counter play to even that.
The dev team intentionally try to kill competitive storm, though it still exists a VAST majority of the players that loved storm 3 competitively just never grabbed the next 2 games.
They wanted to make it a money grab and the idiots still playing are doing exactly that while their dev team gives 0 fucks about the mess that is storm 4

Yeah Online is garbarge , Naruto Storm 4 as a whole is good but the replay value comes from online and its just horrible 😭
