respectfully, Storm 4 was a garbage game. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. 80% of cutscenes were replaced with slideshows! And there were zero consequences for missing buttons in the QTE's so the boss battle's were utter trash. Storm 4 is not the best.

Storm 3 was the first storm game I really played as much as possible I had the hokage ranking in online mode and I was so proud of it lol I was such a sasuke fan that I always looked at my stats cause I wanted to have my 3 most used characters being sasuke I don’t care if storm 4 has a better battle system or a better story mode... storm 3 is a game which will have a place in my heart forever... I loved this game so much I can still remember when I picked it up directly after school lol

Storm 1 definitely had its own vibe. I think if you’re too old when this game came out these problems would bother you much more. They still bothered me as an 8 year old but it was still mind blowing and a nice alternative to the ps2 games
Everyone is going to ask you to review a game that they liked or heard it's good. Instead, I'll be suggesting Naruto Shippuden: Dragon Blade Chronicles.
The Storm series for me is when I realized how important game direction is for anime games, especially with the way Storm 2, 3 & 4 handle the story (although 4 could've used a bit more cutscenes instead of pictures at times). There are moments that the game captures better than the anime - and kind of even the manga at times. Hell, the final battle against Sasuke is damn near an hour long including the story cutscenes and QTE and never do you feel bored because of the emotional investment that the game series has granted you. Not to mention because of the story mode, it's my preferred experience of the Shippuden story aside from the manga, due to the pacing and visuals and execution. Like Naruto vs. Pain in Storm 2 is much more satisfying and exciting than the anime was able to pull off.
One of my favorite things about Storm 4 (that seem to be underrated) is elemental effects. Lightning stuns on water, fire keeps burning the character, water puts out fire even if it's the opponent, water is reinforced by the environment... It's just fun
My only problem with storm 4’s story mode is that most of the “cutscenes” are just shots from the anime with dialogue. Yeah I know they saved the in-game cutscenes for the hype scenes, but still... But it is indeed by far the best Naruto game
Yeah, but still Just a little downside. Now a thing I didn't like was the cutscenes no longer had failswhen you don't put the input, this made me feeled like It breaked the immersion sometimes.
Storm 4 is a beautiful game, but the combat system is broken, and switching carries players, storm 3 was broken but not as bad as storm 4. Globku literally said storm 2 had the best netcode? Wtf is he talking about🤣🤣

I think generations will be forever memorable for me for having the first animated sequence (that I'm aware of) of Hashirama and Madara's fight, I watched that thing over and over. Also the Killer Bee cut scenes were great, his rapping can be creative lol
@@panditas7679 I don’t think so, the gameplay isn’t all that good and the story mode only covers the last arc of the story so you’ll spoil yourself if you do want to get into Naruto later on. This game isn’t like Dragon Ball FighterZ where any fighting game fan can enjoy it, if you aren’t into anime arena fighting games this game won’t change your mind. Luckily there’s a demo and the deluxe version is $12 until the 13th of October on PlayStation so you can try it for yourself and buy it for cheap if you like it

I recently started to play Storm 1 again and imo he was spot on with his review. The fact that you had to do boring side quests (like playing hide and seek with Komohamaru...) in order to get further in the story mode ruined the experience for me at times. Or the fact that some characters seem unbeatable at first like Kimimaro (BOY was he strong lol !). Overall it's a decent game but I'm looking forward to play the other games now. Does any of you have 'Naruto UNS legacy' ? Because I want to play Storm 2 my PS4 for better graphics but don't want to do the annoying side quests of Storm 1 again. Otherwise I'd just buy the game for the PS3.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact for the PSP. The only decent story naruto game for that platform in my opinion. The combat is a little repetitive but it is still a cool game.
Dude the warriors gameplay was a mess on psp but the story mode was fantastic , the best naruto retelling on a handheld before the switch got the storm games.
5:38 Funny you mention that, Kishimoto himself has actually praised the post-timeskip Storm games as being an even better adaptation of his vision of the series than anime, and at times even gives his original manga a run for its money
I think another cons of Storm 4 would be reuse anime frames rather than making completely original 3D cutscenes. Sometimes I feel like the still anime wrongly conveyed what actually happened in certain details of the dialogues.

Honestly, I loved the chaos of tournament mode in revolution. It always kept me on my toes, always giving me that sense of "oh shit that awakened itachi is getting pretty close". thats just me tho
There were only two things I didn’t like about Storm 4: 1) The boss fights didn’t punish you for missing buttons during quick time events 2) They animated half the storymode while the other half was pictures with after effects
Nah it would be trash if it punished you for missing buttons, pretty unfair to people with slower reaction times. Games that punish like that you are fucking garbage imo.
There is also the fact Ninja Storm 4 visuals aged very well. Played it a few weeks Back against a friend several days. The animation style holds Up very well.
4:04 combo cancelling was a thing since the first game, they re-used the kunai cancel mechanic from old ultimate ninja games, you could cancel strings for a kunai into chakra dash and could keep pressuring the opponent, it may not seem like it but the first storm game is the fastest out of all the other storm games.
I got recommended a video of yours on Clash of Ninja, and upon further digging I found this series. Great videos. I do suggest you touch on Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 next.

Generations is my personal fav due to the competitive community back then. Clan matches were always fun to do and the introduction of tournaments were really cool. IMO Generations had the most tech for each character making everyone feel kinda unique in a sense.
In my Opinion the introduction of the Substitution Bar detroyed all games after Storm 2 for me. It is probably just me because i couldnt learn how to use it right. I really tried and trained hours after hours to master the Substitution Bar but I always got destroyed online. I tried every game after Storm 2 but after hundreds of defeats without a win i gave up and sold every game except Storm 2. Because of that Storm 2 is my Nr 1. It would have been nice if they added a feature in the options to create games with or without the Bar and the online search connects always with someone who has the same options(No bar players play together and Bar player can play together). Dont know why they didnt implement that because they lost players like me who couldnt handle the Bar feature.
The bar was a mechanic to improve balancing in the game and prevent just constant substitution due to its low chakra cost. It made fighting slightly more strategic and less button mashy because now you couldn't just escape from every single combo. I prefer the substitution bar because it punishes players who are constantly substituting ruining the flow of combat.

@@MineralwasserSommelier not competitive if it becomes naruto substitute simulator. Especially with how it ramped up in speed to prevent endless loops making it a battle of netcode and internet to server based reactions. Plus it didn't reflect the show. The substitute bars made it so getting hit was a tactical choice you get hit a few times substitute based on their animation in the combo. Made you clash fight and backoff resulting in naruto running more in the fights and introducing mind games instead of eventually just mashing substitution Justus 10 seconds in.
I would love to have Ultimate Ninja 4 and Ultimate Ninja 5 next. It seems fitting. In case you can add more I suggest Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 and Ultimate Ninja Impact! Abraço de Portugal :)
i be honest the gimic boss awakening where SUPER fun to screw around with, even tho they where easy to defeat or just run around and survive til its over, it was just dum fun and felt sad when they dident appear in ultimate 4
Storm 3 was pretty lit. I feel like storm 4 kinda cheated the community in certain areas. I was pissed about the wall fighting being story mode only and only for certain parts of the story. Didn't like having to pay for secret ultimate techniques either. Seven swordsman of the mist should've been playable
How can Uzimaki Chronicles 2 be rank D? That is literally one of the best and innovative naruto games but I understand that it is just his opinion lol. It should atleast be a rank or 2 above the first chronicles.

Ninja storm the 2008 one is my 3rd favorite just because you can explore way more in it rather than The others and I love the clash thing it's really neat
Surprised Storm 4 is at the top for you. The story mode of Storm 3 is still the best since in S4 they went the easy route many times with screenshots from the anime while also not being as long overall. Leader Switch is not a good mechanic. It's arguably even more broken than the counter from Revolution. Many people think competitively Generations is the best and casually Storm 3.

Correction: The instant awakenings in Storm 3 drain your MAX CHAKRA and not your chakra. That may seem minor but play the game and it's really not.

4:04 combo cancelling was a thing since the first game, they re-used the kunai cancel mechanic from old ultimate ninja games, you could cancel strings for a kunai into chakra dash and could keep pressuring the opponent, it may not seem like it but the first storm game is the fastest out of all the other storm games.
Ninja Storm 3 is what got me back into Naruto years ago, and I’m so happy to see it next to Storm 4 as THE best Naruto games....! 😭
Loved storm 4 so much I had to get the platinum for it. Such a good game and S ranking story missions was challenging but doable and very fun

Storm revolutions had the best combat system imo especially awakening mode. Combo cancels were endless and it actually required skill.

I probably spent like 40 hours On Storm 3 full burst and I loved it
Generations is my personal fav due to the competitive community back then. Clan matches were always fun to do and the introduction of tournaments were really cool. IMO Generations had the most tech for each character making everyone feel kinda unique in a sense.
13:30 There was a Naruto Shippuden episode that ties in with the Mecha Naruto story and I recommend watching it.

In my Opinion the introduction of the Substitution Bar detroyed all games after Storm 2 for me. It is probably just me because i couldnt learn how to use it right. I really tried and trained hours after hours to master the Substitution Bar but I always got destroyed online. I tried every game after Storm 2 but after hundreds of defeats without a win i gave up and sold every game except Storm 2. Because of that Storm 2 is my Nr 1. It would have been nice if they added a feature in the options to create games with or without the Bar and the online search connects always with someone who has the same options(No bar players play together and Bar player can play together). Dont know why they didnt implement that because they lost players like me who couldnt handle the Bar feature.
The bar was a mechanic to improve balancing in the game and prevent just constant substitution due to its low chakra cost. It made fighting slightly more strategic and less button mashy because now you couldn't just escape from every single combo. I prefer the substitution bar because it punishes players who are constantly substituting ruining the flow of combat.

@@MineralwasserSommelier not competitive if it becomes naruto substitute simulator. Especially with how it ramped up in speed to prevent endless loops making it a battle of netcode and internet to server based reactions. Plus it didn't reflect the show.
The substitute bars made it so getting hit was a tactical choice you get hit a few times substitute based on their animation in the combo. Made you clash fight and backoff resulting in naruto running more in the fights and introducing mind games instead of eventually just mashing substitution Justus 10 seconds in.

I would love to have Ultimate Ninja 4 and Ultimate Ninja 5 next. It seems fitting. In case you can add more I suggest Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 and Ultimate Ninja Impact!

i be honest the gimic boss awakening where SUPER fun to screw around with, even tho they where easy to defeat or just run around and survive til its over, it was just dum fun and felt sad when they dident appear in ultimate 4
Storm 3 was pretty lit. I feel like storm 4 kinda cheated the community in certain areas. I was pissed about the wall fighting being story mode only and only for certain parts of the story. Didn't like having to pay for secret ultimate techniques either. Seven swordsman of the mist should've been playable

I did like it, but I know it got a bit panned due to the aforementioned “DW-Like” gameplay.
Ninja storm the 2008 one is my 3rd favorite just because you can explore way more in it rather than The others and I love the clash thing it's really neat
Surprised Storm 4 is at the top for you. The story mode of Storm 3 is still the best since in S4 they went the easy route many times with screenshots from the anime while also not being as long overall. Leader Switch is not a good mechanic. It's arguably even more broken than the counter from Revolution.
Many people think competitively Generations is the best and casually Storm 3.
Yeah him not mentioning the ugly stills in the story mode really bugged me, nowhere near as good as storm 3s in my opinion

Storm 2 is really great, storm 3 also follows the continuity of 2 and storm 4 is a bit more boring but still a good game
