It's not ai no uta they are singing. Pikmin will only sing ai no uta if you have 20 of each type in your squad. And only in pikmin 2. Pikmin hum when the sublevel has been completed and has no more treasures around, regardless of type or number.

Look at the yellow spider, Beady Long Legs is its name I think, in Pikmin 1 it seemed very powerful, had its own battle theme and all, but in Pikmin 2, it dies really fast and has no special attack besides shaking. The Waterwraith's arena is a joke, and many other things that make these bosses really easy.

The waterwraith felt sooo cool the way it chased you throughout the whole dungeon, and you finally get the advantage at the end and take him down easily, or how cool it felt being chased around by Man-At Legs and he’s clank around really quickly, then pull out a rocket launcher and start rapidly firing missiles at you, as you frantically run around calling your pikmin back quick. I dunno, they’re both really cool. Boss fights in pikmin always felt more cool for their uniqueness, and for the fact that loosing actually mattered

Old video, but this strategy holds up! I actually used this recently in pikmin 4 and it works REALLY well there as well. Rush boots are basically required though.

I always fight him with purples while putting the rest safely behind a wall in the distance. As long as you keep moving and move smartly it cant hit your pikmin even if they are purples with leaves from being shaken off
I did man at legs a couple days ago and I just shit on his cake. He didn’t shoot a single bullet I just went to town on the that thing and I’m glad because I will be honest it’s this and the Segmented Crawbster that scare me

In the challenge level with the man at legs just hide behind the wall while he shoots very effective you kind of need to know what the level looks life for this one to make sense tho
