Thank you for this! I love hearing different views and voices on the spectrum, it's nice to know you're not the only one who's dealing with neurodivergence and trying to figure out how to interact with people who don't get it, or just don't care to understand.

I got my assessment done earlier this year. The results have confirmed my suspicion of my ASD condition. I can relate to what Rick said. I agree that it all makes more sense now but I still need time to process.

I wanna get myself checked, I'm pretty sure I have it, but if they don't confirm my suspicions I think I'd get quite upset because what is it then that's so wrong with me, am I just a failed human being, like if I have autism then I would feel how I feel because my brain would literally be differently structured, and so the way I react to things would actually be a bit more out of my control in a way. My cousin has autism, and whenever we were on holidays me and him would argue all the time, we would annoy each other all the time, and my family always told me, you're older you need to start acting like it and don't let him get to you, but it was impossible, so everyone would get upset at me, but yeah anyway, so I feel like for a million of reasons that if I indeed have it it would kind of take the pressure off of earlier life experiences if that makes any sense at all.

With all the talking with his arms, I'd bet they're pretty tired after this pod!

it is an autistic (generally, as I don't know Rick) strategy to distract from being uncomfortable maintaining eye contact. Clever technique we often get taught.

@@deejannemeiurffnicht1791 True. Rick also has a running joke where he says "... And boy are my arms tired" on his pod. Still haven't figured out in what context he says it in but yeah think that was a part OP's joke
