I love the look of missoma pieces, but they are a bit out of my price range. Always keep them in mind for later down the track though, when I'm rich 😁
To me, vintage real gold jewellery is a much better investment! I am wearing some of my mother's as well as mine from the 80s and 90s, totally back in fashion, they are the real deal :) I am so sick of expensive -and cheap- faux bijoux which cannot stand the test of time, in the end they're a waste of money and bad for the planet. I really think that in numbers, less is more... it's better to have just a few quality, timeless pieces of jewelry like vintage, second-hand, or gifts, rather than a plethora of faux.
The jewellery collection looks brassy overall. 200 pieces arguably majority are gifted, but at the retail cost why not invest in bespoke jewellery and work with a goldsmith etc? You'd have something unique and enduring.
You can get quality gold filled for much cheaper and it'll last for many, many years. I learned my lesson long ago with gold plated. It's never worth it; inevitably it rubs off. At least gold plated sterling silver has actual silver under it and can be gotten cheaper, too. Hundreds for plated brass, though? Yeah, no thanks. You can buy real gold products for the same amount! Why bother with plated at that point?

OMG... That corner rail instead of the traditional straight across is brilliant. I'm going to guess it doesn't come in a color other than silver bc if it did I'm sure Emma would've matched it with the other rail on the opposite side of the wardrobe. It looked gold bc it matched her accessory baskets. Even still it's a sacrifice I'd make to hold on to clothes.
If you have a day job with its own separate dress code then it adds to your belongings. Sometimes I think there are advantages in a uniform! It saves money and you cannot be blamed if it doesn’t suit you. And in this country a woolly (or twenty) is essential.

My husband and I have a shared walk in closet but because he hoards his clothes I have moved all my clothing to several closets in our spare bedrooms. So, what’s in your shopping list for spring summer 2020? General idea of budget and number of items and specifics about shape, color, etc of each iteam. Do you have a shopping plan to buy less or do you have a plan for you wardrobe?
I mention that I have some other pieces which are summer in storage. But I will still wear jeans and blazers for most of the year and depending on how poor our great British summer is even some coats 🙈 But once this winter is over and I review my knitwear it will make even more space for the summer pieces that currently don't fit 👍

Blouses are in-between the scarves and t-shirts and dresses currently haven't made it to the wardrobe yet. They will be added once winter is over and I reduce the knits further and have another shift around to fit everything in (hopefully 🙈🤣)

Now the renovations are finished I can get myself back into fashion mode and start thinking about spring summer 👍

minimising is always a good idea but where are the summer clothes? Is it just the winter wardrobe?
I mention that I have some other pieces which are summer in storage. But I will still wear jeans and blazers for most of the year and depending on how poor our great British summer is even some coats 🙈 But once this winter is over and I review my knitwear it will make even more space for the summer pieces that currently don't fit 👍

There are actually a lot of artisan jewelry designers out there that make absolutely everything they do from scratch.

Where do you have blouses, like the one you are wearing, and dresses in your wardrobe?
Blouses are in-between the scarves and t-shirts and dresses currently haven't made it to the wardrobe yet. They will be added once winter is over and I reduce the knits further and have another shift around to fit everything in (hopefully 🙈🤣)
