Disused Quarries around Little Eaton

In this walk we partly retrace our steps from our previous Little Eaton walk, but take an alternative route to and from Park Farm and in so doing discover a number of old quarries that yeilded much of the local stone seen in many of the cottages, farm buildings and boundary walls in the area.

Very interesting. Just a thought, but have you considered contacting the owners of private land on which quarries still stand? The one near Rigga Lane which you passed & the one at the back of Gem between Moor Lane & Morley Lane are two which spring to mind.
