Disused Quarries around Little Eaton

  • In this walk we partly retrace our steps from our previous Little Eaton walk, but take an alternative route to and from Park Farm and in so doing discover a number of old quarries that yeilded much of the local stone seen in many of the cottages, farm buildings and boundary walls in the area.

    Very interesting. Just a thought, but have you considered contacting the owners of private land on which quarries still stand? The one near Rigga Lane which you passed & the one at the back of Gem between Moor Lane & Morley Lane are two which spring to mind.
