      That's fantastic to hear Fede!! You really should try them out - since their attack spells are very straight forward and easy to understand, it makes learning the States & Runes side of things a lot easier than I expected. You'll have to let me know what you think if you try them - personally, it's one of my all-time favorite classes now... right up there with Foggernaut!

    You also forgot to say that every time you perform an elemental combo, you gain 50 power for each different combo for 2 turns. So doing that, you can buff yourself and do more damage. Really good guide for huppers beginners. Keep going, mate.

    Hey, really fun to see you pick up this insane class. Easy to learn, extremely difficult to master. Loved the video but there are a few things I want to point out:
    You missed out on the most important huppermage spells (in my very experienced opinion). Elemental cycle, Creation and Manifestation. I know that these are lvl locked behind 100-something for manifestation and 165 for creation but these are the core spells for manipulating the positions of yourself and enemies and allow for insanely broken soloing of dungeons (even endgame stuff). I highly recommend using these over contribution and runification.
    I know this is just a beginner guide and this video was perfect for that but I'm preparing you for when your hupper reaches lvl 200 stuff :D

    • @Benjamight
      @Benjamight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate that Schaap - yeah, I'm super excited to make a guide cover the 100+ spells, but I'm still learning those myself. Thank you SOOOO much for the helpful tips you left, I will be trying these out. I haven't been too impressed with the damage output of the 2AP spells yet, but perhaps that's not the goal for endgame Hupper? Is positioning and debuffing kind of their role? Any insight you can pass me on that would be helpful. My Hupper is currently 187 and built Int/Str hybrid.

      @@Benjamight I'd say the main role of huppermage in team PvM is definitely more utility based than raw damage. What makes huppers so fun is that most of your utility spells are only 1ap and your combination buffs/debuffs are applied via damage spells. This makes huppers super versatile because you dont have to waste ap on for example removing range from an enemy because your damage spells do it for you. Having the option to also teleport yourself, allies and enemies across the field when needed can really save the day so I would personally put huppers more as a support class with ridiculous damage capabilities when needed in battles. But you can play however you want.
      You definitely dont play an mp reduction trophy on a hupper in exchange for some damage ;) lets put it that way.
      As for build ideas heres an overview of possibilities. Please remember this is just my opinion and there might be some slight bias towards that int build from my side but I am highly convinced that is the single best solo hupper build, but most huppers go with agility.
      Also remember that ALL of these builds work well im just comparing them to eachother so when I say that strength sucks thats using the underlying thought: "why play a strength hupper when I could be agility". So not bad, just the least good.
      Agility
      The go to solo pvm build according to most players. This is the most ranged build, based around teleportation and map manipulation. Not my cup of tea because a lot of your main spells are high ap (for a hupper). But this one is super mobile, easy to learn, lots of support for teams and the best for saving the day by being able to teleport entire groups of enemies or allies with 1 spell. Definitely the most xelor-like build.
      Intelligence
      My personal favorite build but only with class hat, without it sucks. Class hat makes your 2ap spell volcano non-linear and turns manifestation into a 1ap spell. This means that you can now teleport 14 cells across the map twice per turn for 1ap without need for a line of sight. The only downside is that you need a rune to teleport to which will be a tricky skill to master in combat but extremely fun once you learn it.
      I play a full fixed fire damage build so my manifestation also deals around 500 damage for 1ap when used on an enemy. Very fast paced build but takes experience because your typical turn will be somewhere between 5-8 spells depending on what you're doing so you cant think for too long.
      Chance
      Ridiculously high potential for mob destroying but sadly endgame doesnt like melee classes very much.
      You kind of need a crocobur and jhessica or servitude belt for this to work really well. But has the highest damage potential out of the mono builds. Super fun to play, not recommended for most situations though.
      Strength
      This is by far the worst hupper mono element( for PvM, PvP is a different story :p) because it has very limited spells. Your 2ap spell is really good and so is striking meteor but those can only be cast once per target and after that you're left with 2 very wonky linear spells. Telluric blade even has non-modifiable range added to that.
      Omni crit
      Very strong build, I really recommend this for any hupper. Especially from levels 151->199 because it allows for you to fully learn every combo and utility spell + the ins and outs of each element so you can better decide on what to go for at 200.
      Also I'd say that for group PvM omni is 100% the best build but since I play on ilyzaelle I dont care too much for that. I find my fun in doing ridiculously stupid solobchallenges like for example im currently trying to Solo tal kasha with the focus achievement which is going to end up being a 2h long 200 turn fight most likely. Progress being made towards a victory slowly lol.
      Anyhow if you ever decide to play more on Ilyzaelle and have questions feel free to send a msg ingame, ign is Syxtynyne or Nixtynyne (both huppers, same build, exact same cosmetics and colors). Just 2 different accounts because I got bored on my main. I spend most of My time chilling at Tal kasha nowadays cus I like leeching random people for no reason and I do it solo fairly easily nowadays with the amount of practice I have in that place.

      @Benjamight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Schaap - this was SO helpful! My goodness... the 1 element I haven't tried is the go-to...? lol, figures. Anyways, I'll have to look into both the Agility option and your Int (with hat) setup... both have my curiosity! If I could shoot for Omni at endgame, that will probably be my ultimate goal - but we will see. Thank you again for taking the time to type all this up, I really appreciate it! Have an awesome week.

      @@Benjamight haha one last thing about that agility thing. You get a spell at lvl 190 called Comet, it's super important for agi huppers and your 2ap spell also is level locked pretty high (185 I believe?). And take everything I say with a grain of salt, everything works it's just my personal solo experience as a mono-accounter on ily.
      Thanks, and you too have a wonderful week, with hupper ofcourse ;)

      From what I see around Mono Agi is usually the go to for solo PVM for the movement aspects and LoS stuff. Omni took a hard nerf a while back which tanked Omni DPT since they lost the crit. Also their Chance side is a bit of a weak link IMO as it's melee only which is not super great for end game things.

    • @schaap9142
      @schaap9142 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Benjamight I've been a hupper main since release and its fair to say I know this class quite well by now. I'd say the most new player friendly is to just go mono agi (for solo) and basically win the game after a bit of practice.
      Omni is typically percieved as being stronger but thats only because omni crit is insane on any class due to the rhineetle bow. If you just use spells an omni build wont outdamage mono but that bow is just too good.
      Also this december when ankama nerfed the OP arcane torrent spell to the ground, which is reasonable given it was a 2ap, 1.5k dmg, 8 range, non line of sight, 2 cell circle AoE spell that didnt even require a target, the variant of elemental drain got a huge buff (Morph). So thats a super viable spell now and incredibly fun to play with and deals insane damage.
      Personally I play mono intelligence with class hat because it turns the class into a xelor in terms of mobility while dealing damage at cra range(12-14 cells) and I can solo quite a lot of endgame dungeons with it. Super fun but not recommended to newer huppermage players haha.
