Oil always seems to be the most frustrating resource no matter what game you are playing, but in Palworld it takes the cake. I adore Smokey, also the pinging of the metal detector is annoying imo.
Most of the dungeons are small . 4-5 rooms . There are some rooms that has no nodes at all. The starting room has no Hecolite or Chromite. Boss room has none as well. There are rooms where you have just chromite and some rooms that has just hexolite. You can also really easily farm Lotus flowers for potions for your own stats. These are (L) that are use only on the player and sadly not palls stats.
im too lazy for the running around and got lucky getting silvegis from an egg in the world and breed them had too meany and found they drop chromite soo thats my method for farming chromite
the dungeons have chromite in them the smokey if you have them max they will bring them all out i believe if you are in the right dungeon has to be 4 star

If you find Chromite in the open world you can mark it on the map then come back after respawn and get it again.
