I love that big round fishbowl tank...and I agree...try the Walsted method on it...it would be a great way to show folks how that works or at least how it's supposed to work. Yep, yep. hang a nice ceiling light over it and get it going. Be sure to take lots of videos while you're in Japan so we can enjoy your trip via video when you get back.
Wow, so many things to say. This was published on my birthday. We had a bowl like that 14:42 when I was little in the 70's. My mother filled it with colorful rocks and sand when all of the fish died (I kept killing them...overfeeding when she wasn't watching). I still have a pic of me and mom next to it.

I just bought the last 6 super red koi angles from my LFS today. I'm not bringing them home until next week, giving my 63 gal time to cycle. I want to put a school of cardinal tetras then a few bottom feeders: 4 Cory's and a couple bristle nose plecos. Is that too much for a 63 gal and the fluval 407 canister?
where was the cobalt powerhead venturi picking up from? I've been thinking of adding a small fridge to my fishroom. The potential cost of the electricity keeps me away. I assume you're looking or full sized? Maybe a retro fridge to go with those metaframe tanks? Cant begin to explain how jealous I am of your 125. Did that originally come with a slate bottom like the other metaframe tanks? I love those old tanks. I had thought of setting up like a retro fishroom with just those tanks! Whats doing in Japan?

So if I use more electricity to keep foods frozen, the by product is more heat in the room which means I need to use heaters less. So it's kind of a trade off. The metaframe tank came the way you see it. glass bottom so it was probably made in the 70s. Japan is a vacation for myself and the wife. Goal is to visit fish stores and maybe koi farms etc as well as just enjoy Japan.

Hi Coby. Did you sell this Koi Angel pair in your store in 2017? I think I bought them for $50 as they look exactly the same. If so, I still have three of their offspring and the pair male lived until 2020 and female passed in 2021.

+Dodgerx25 I'd recommend just buying like 4 juvies from a pet store and growing them out. Once you get a pair you can sell off the others, or the first spawn will recoup your money invested.

I don't Do videos and when I get to doing them it will be under another name "something more professional than p0htat0".Have fun in Japan.If you haven't already I'd try and tone down the light a bit more for your pleco's it may or may not help.One little thing for me is I am working on making my own Angle mutt and for more color I'm looking to Red koi on top of my mutt's could look good or I'll just end up with Throw backs and random patterns...
