- This is my submission for the Legend of zelda Fan contest. #Zeldafan #Nintendocontest. This is a film about link on his journey to find the pedestal of time and the master sword. But he may not be alone on his journey...
It features me playing both link and dark link and my brother working as cameraman and director. We made the pedestal before and found out about the Zelda fan contest we put together this video in 2 days. It was an exhausting day of filming, carrying the 4 large pieces of the pedestal half-way up mount Swansea, and then back down. Followed by an entire day of editing and sound design. We ended up winning second place, complete with a free copy of twilight princess HD and Hyrule warriors 3DS.
For everyone wondering where we got the swords and shields from. We had them made for us by fiberglassblades. he did an amazing job on them but I don't think he does much of them anymore. I'll give a link to his website anyways.

Love the subtle cut when you sheathed the blade cuz it was too long to sheath. It’s kinda funny, in the games they actually just speeds up the sword drawing animation because the blade actually just phases through the scabbard. It’s pretty obvious in wind waker once you have the fully upgraded sword, the glowing blade gives it away
In the games they just pull it out of the side

1st: the pedestal of time can just randomly be out in the woods some cause some body can easily find it and wield it 2 nd: did I see him switching from Left hand to right hand cause of where the shield is in an angle and where you keep the sword

ive been looking for someone who actually made the pedestal of time and ur the first ive seen in years, the video deserves more likes, btw ive seen pics of that master sword but I seem to never find them in stores, i would really like to know :) keep up the good work cause this was good!
Thank you! Really appreciate the comment. We worked hard on making the pedestal, and only had 2 days to do the filming and editing. I'm glad you liked it. As for the swords and shields, I doubt you'd be able to find these in stores. Sometimes they come up on ebay, but that's rare. We had them made for us and he did an awesome job. How did you hang the shield on the master sword sheath
I tried a few different ways but what I ended up doing is actually attaching a separate belt to the shield that goes over top of the sheath belt.
Also, did you buy that master sword or make it yourself?
It looks like it was bought because I remember seeing it online.

Ah yes..this reminds me of when i would come back from school to play ocarina of time as a kid this video gave me some what of a nostalgia
The only problem I see is that this seems like adult link from ocarina of time & uh yeah he wielded the sword in his left hand. Which in this video he is using his right. But I'm well aware of the fact that multiple links wields the sword in their right hands.
if it wasn't so nice a replica what you could do is make a straight slot a little more then max draw distance on one side of the scabbard and put a piece of thick strong leather running down for a guide to easily sheath and draw your sword from the back and it would be more practical then on the hip for it or fighting with the sword or having it very low. Or sense it is a prop and not sharp you could just have the slit running down by itself if you were familiar with the muscle memory of sheathing the sword. youtuber Shadiversity actually made a video of his own out of wood as a proto type and then had a professional sword smith make the scabbard for a long sword out of high quality leather, wood and that protective fur. Its more efficient, more practical, you're able to sprint with it crawl on the ground and the sword stays perfectly secure. he has two videos talking about in detail.
I absolutely loved this video and the amount of effort is amazing and especially for being made for a contest in such a short amount of time. You should have been given 1st no question for this. I know you probably don't make videos anymore but from what I saw from this video was impressive. What I'm getting at is sense you have all the stuff already I feel you could make quite the awesome series of L.O.Z. shorts. Keep up the awesome work and never doubt yourself. This is amazing quality even for only a couple minutes long and I am sure most people couldn't do this with a lot more time.

It's by FiberglassBlades, they are discontinued. The one mentioned in this comment section is LegendofZanon's Etsy page, he does a Skyward Sword version same way.
Thanks for explaining that for me, Mr.Bagels. I added some info in the description for people. I haven't seen LegendofZanon's stuff but it looks like it's pretty good quality. Could be a good solution for people who need a set.

Thanks. It was made with a wood base and then covered with vinyl decking. The 3 edge pieces and middle section have slots where the triforce pieces slot into. And then the mastersword slots through the center into a metal bracket with padding. I have a video with us building the pedestal if you want to check it out here:
