Amazing video! As a photographer enthusiast I get overwhelmed with learning how to capture in studio. This was so simple and easy to follow!! Thank you!! Please keep making videos abuout photography tips and trips and things to help beginners.
Hey Anthony I love the video, very easy to follow and understand however at the end you mentioned about making the background darker or lighter and was hoping to see how you make the white background really white, I have a client looking for that, can you help please?
I’m so sorry I’m just now seeing this, but if you only have one light, you want to keep your subject as close to the background as possible to have a brighter background. If you do happen to have two lights, then one can be for your subject and the other could be for your background!
I enjoyed this presentation sweet and simple. I personally struggle with helping models pose, so if thats something you have knowledge on, a video on that would be appreciate from those like myself. Thanks again for the tips
This is interesting video and I watched tons nobody explains 1 light setup better than you do lol. Can you do more videos about 1 light setups? maybe explain how to position the light, what power you need etc etc.. I'm a beginner and i really want to buy the ad400pro just to start in 1 light setup and go on from there.
Woohoo loving the mellow vibes and also so educational ! Really wish to see more from you sir! You were recommended to me for a week straight haha I finally watch wow best decision. Can’t forget to shout out to your videographer for the smooth and cinematic colours.
That’s amazing! S/o to TH-cam for staying consistent with the recommendation! I’m sooooo glad you enjoyed the video! And yes my videographer did great!!
I love your quote on your web site Antony: 'Love isn't always as easy as people make it sound. Truthfully it's our greatest challenge, but it's also our greatest reward.' , wander how you interpretate this on your creative photographic series . I know long answer but more than happy to ask you on a small interview
That’s a great question, honestly I could’ve went down to ISO 100 but I would’ve had to go up on my power on my light, but the noise difference between 100 and 250 is negligible, and the images already looked great! So I kept the settings as is!
Solid video well delivered but please put a sand bag on that C-Stand and keep the modifier weight over the front leg. Thank you for the video. Love the studio space also.
I just ran across your video and found it informational except for the error you made about the white backdrop being gray. That should not be. A backdrops color should be correct and as it should be irregardless of whether it is white, black, or whatever. You were experiencing white balance issues with the flash you and your camaer's metering. For a thorough understanding of this concept, you should check out Mark Wallace's TH-cam videos about it. He's very, very educational professional photographer and can break it down in detail. I know that this is an old video and, hopefully, you've made the correction but if not I recommend that you check him out not only to educate yourself but your audience as well. Ciao.
I appreciate the concern, but I believe you should do a little research about the inverse square law. This will explain exactly how to make a white backdrop grey if needed/wanted. Also, white balance issues would equal an issue in color tonality, I.e too warm/cool, too magenta/green. True white (255R, 255G, 255b) vs true grey (128R, 128G, 128B) are not color related as the RGB channels are equal across them, they’re brightness related. So no error made. I just understand light manipulation a bit better. Hopefully that makes sense.
Oh this was educational AF! If you ain’t learn nothing from this then ain’t no help for you 😅😅😅. Great job man! Subscribed!
This means more than you think bro! I appreciate you!!
Lets Gooooo!!!! Educational content is always the move (and appreciated). Keep it going!!!
I've been so focused on street photography, but now you made studio photography feel so accessible, thank you!
It’s not hard at all, it just takes patience and a willingness to try new things!
Great video

Great info. Question, why ISO 250 and not 100?

Will this work for videos as well? Is this a continuous light or flash?

You’re not wrong at all, I couldn’t find a sandbag and I left mines at home 😅
