I love hip hop, always listened to all types of hip hop and rap throughout my life, I was a firefighter for 8 years and I've heard of Ka recently, never thought I could relate to a rapper who joined the brotherhood of a cross.
Thanks for this video. Ka is the epitome of the highest echelon of lyricism. I think he's peerless when it comes to storytelling. Many emcees have dope bars. KA's verses are cinematic. No song captures this more than DNA from Iron Works, imo. It's a 4:36 autobiography. Ka captures the essence of his life and trials. And the icing on the cake is a droning loop of the intro to Don't Stand So Close to Me, by The Police. That's what I hear anyway. The beat is so subtle yet powerful. It causes the tension in the song to build and build. It's like watching a Scorsese film. "My role models sold snow in a bottle to the weak and frail, By '86 it was rocks in them vials, Shit looked like sleet and hail, My favorite cousin taught me how to make good tasty hood pastries on that amazing oven, Cake with the icing, If n---s short him better brace for the lightning, Made grandma smile but the streets wasn't safe he was frightening. I just wanted to thank you for these mini docs. Im a huge hip hop fan for my whole life. I was born in 1980, so i grew up with alot of the boom bap, but then i came back into the culture in like maybe 2017 when i was learning about all the new underground artists that were coming out. Now im constantly listening to Griselda, Your old Droog, Action Bronson, Mach Hommy and God Fahim, Boldy James, Rome Streetz, Curren$y, Freddie Gibbs, its amazing whats going on its like a hip hop revolution. Thanks for this video. Ka is the epitome of the highest echelon of lyricism. I think he's peerless when it comes to storytelling. Many emcees have dope bars. KA's verses are cinematic. No song captures this more than DNA from Iron Works, imo. It's a 4:36 autobiography. Ka captures the essence of his life and trials. And the icing on the cake is a droning loop of the intro to Don't Stand So Close to Me, by The Police. That's what I hear anyway. The beat is so subtle yet powerful. It causes the tension in the song to build and build. It's like watching a Scorsese film.

I just wanted to thank you for these mini docs. Im a huge hip hop fan for my whole life. I was born in 1980, so i grew up with alot of the boom bap, but then i came back into the culture in like maybe 2017 when i was learning about all the new underground artists that were coming out. Now im constantly listening to Griselda, Your old Droog, Action Bronson, Mach Hommy and God Fahim, Boldy James, Rome Streetz, Curren$y, Freddie Gibbs, its amazing whats going on its like a hip hop revolution. And if it was more mainstream i dont think i would like it as much. Keep up the awesome work
