Band BIO:
Alestorm is a multi-national heavy metal band originally from Perth, Scotland. Their music is characterised by a pirate theme and thus has been dubbed a "pirate metal" band by many critics and their fanbase. The group currently consists of vocalist Christopher Bowes, bassist Gareth Murdock, drummer Peter Alcorn, keyboardist, and vocalist Elliot Vernon, and guitarist Máté Bodor.
After signing to Napalm Records in 2007, their debut album Captain Morgan's Revenge, was released on 25 January 2008. Black Sails at Midnight, the band's second album, was released on 27 May 2009. The band's third album, Back Through Time, was released on 3 June 2011. The fourth album from the band, Sunset on the Golden Age, was released in August 2014. Their fifth album No Grave But the Sea was released on 26 May 2017. Their sixth and latest album, Curse of the Crystal Coconut, was released on 29 May 2020. The band has also released one live album and five EPs.
FUN FACTS about band::
-During the band's first ever live gig (June, 30th, 2006) under the name Battleheart, they ended up playing the song "Over The Seas" twice, due to the severe lack of songs to play
-Battleheart played their first live show only five days after the members had met for the first time.

The title track off their third album, "Back Through Time", is literally about the band going back in time to kill all the vikings because pirates are cooler. xD

@@dicodec They had a gig recorded for a DVD in Tilburg in the Netherlands pre-lockdown, but then decided to put it free on TH-cam instead once tours got cancelled. This song closes the show. Nothing from the latest album on it, for obvious reasons, but there's a fair few singalong songs from that I'm looking forward to later this year
Confirm. The whole band will have middle fingers up to the crowd and the crowd will do the same to the band! It was the closing song of their concert at the festival I saw them at and they basically killed every act coming after them. They didn't stand a chance.
That sounded more like a proper soccer song you sing to the visiting team.

Alestorm is a great band to watch live. The audience singing is usually pretty loud in this song :) You just can't resist singing along. Also their giant inflatable yellow rubber duck they have on stage is cool.
