Thank you for the video!!! I’m laid up after knee replacement surgery. I am the mechanic on the farm-ranch. This is a very nice refresher course.

I almost took the CDL test in Canada in 1992..I remember reading the 'air brake manual' and still have it somewhere.

As a student currently enrolled in an AAS degree in Diesel Mechanics and Heavy Equipment taking heavy brakes and CDL Prep, I can confirm to this day the information taught to us has not changed at all

Question: this is the process of the supply system = compressor built air and send to the air dryer => governor => supply tank …. Air going over 120 psi governor stop the compressor or the compressor still building air (don’t stop) …. just don’t send more air to the air system?

compressor are mounged on the engine. there actual locations vary depending on the engine. the governer may be mounted to the air dryer, but can be placed any where and connected by air lines.

It’s probably best to look at your particular vehicle manual. Most school bus you can find them under the hood.

They cover air brake systems in great detail ...
right after they tell you that nothing they say should be trusted, and that if your brakes fail and you run over a Smart Car, killing a family of four ... it is not their fault.

If you are able, purchase other textbooks to go along with your studies. It's what I did and it helped. Older books may be dated but they do a better job of breaking things down to a level one can easily understand.
