      @@varnettiekohres5760 that’s bc if the defendant chooses to exercise their right to remain silent the prosecution cannot call that person to the stand as a witness. Only the defense attorneys are able to call their client to the stand & most times choose not to bc their testimony only ends up hurting their case.

    This case was so hard to listen to from beginning to the end. Beautiful Emani Rest in Paradise with the Most High and his Angels. No more pain 😢 hurt crying running away, being starved. I would have gladly adopted Emani and raised her as my own child. She was such a beautiful little girl, I am beyond sad 😢 how short your precious life was,. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢. I pray that your killers will meet Satan their Master, and be tortured for ever day in and day out.

    Where r the toys? Where r the bath toys? Looks like an extended stay hotel not an apartment of a family with small children. Very strange, especially since defendant was home all day with kids per dad. Small children are physically unable to stay still and watch tv all day- any parent knows that!

      Ad GirlNYC I understood the video/pictures were of whole apartment. The baby slept in pack-n-play and Tristan must of slept in bed with mom. Dad stated on stand he basically slept on couch. Something is off- no toys, no child snacks, no books and no play tables. Dad testified mom was home all day- usually watching crime shows. I don’t understand how children could be there all day! Anyone whose ever seen a small child knows their active and curious. They,also, beg for food (like fruit chews or puffs) all day!!! Lol

      That apartment was really nice. And I think it has almost as much square footage as our house. Of course, our house isn't very large, but still. I don't know what rent is like there, but that apartment would cost quite a bit where I live.
      I think she hated that little girl. She loved her own, but resented having to take care of his. Sometimes people are like that, hense all of the "wicked stepmother" tales. I don't understand why she decided to homeschool her. That was that much more time she had to spend with her. It makes no sense.

    What is that thing the court reporter is keeping over her mouth?

    • @officialchrisazrikam
      @officialchrisazrikam 5 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Its a microphone that she can talk into to take notes but it has a muffled thing so no one can read her lips or hear what she says but the computer, the court reporters each have their unique way of taking notes.

    • @XPrettyBulletX
      @XPrettyBulletX 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Captain_Chris oh okay! Cool. I was kinda thinking it was a translator thing she was talking into for some one listening in with a different language. I had no idea court reporters would “talk” into a computer like that. I would think the mic/word turn over would be as bad as my cell phones and end up not being accurate. Or causing more work in the end with her re-listening and typing it out later.
      Thank you

      @@XPrettyBulletXThey are called Stenomasks, if you look them up heres the description. A stenomask is a hand-held microphone built into a padded, sound-proof enclosure that fits over the speaker's mouth or nose and mouth. Some lightweight versions may be fitted with an elastic neck strap to hold them in place while freeing the user's hands for other tasks. The purpose of a stenomask is to allow a person to speak without being heard by other people, and to keep background noise away from the microphone.
      A stenomask is useful for speech recognition applications, because it allows voice transcription in noisy environments. Perhaps more importantly, a stenomask silences the user's voice so that it does not interfere with the surrounding environment such as a court or a classroom. The user can verbally identify the speaker, indicate gestures and unspoken answers, and describe activities as they take place.[2]
      An operator of a stenomask can be trained to "re-voice" everything he or she hears into a stenomask connected to a speech recognition system, for a real-time text transcription of everything spoken. This allows a "voice writer" to produce instant text feeds within a courtroom and distribute them in plain text format immediately after a proceeding. The equipment can also interface with litigation management software.
      A trained operator using a stenomask connected to a pre-trained speech recognition system can exceed 180 words per minute while at the same time exceeding 95 percent accuracy. They may also modify the pronunciation of the words they are speaking in order to improve accuracy.
      Microphones that work much like a stenomask are used by aircraft ground crews to communicate with cockpit crews in airport environments with extreme engine noise, and are usually part of their headsets.
