Hello, sorry may i clarify for 4:27 time here, this is against the reported value of the D-1 (or the trading day before this), is it correct? because AUM and NAV is calculated at every end of the trading day. Or is it compared against the same day NAV AUM? Thank you.

Great video that I could understand even as a complete layman. But there's a more general aspect to the valuation I don't understand yet.
When it comes to stocks, I can somewhat imagine how they have an intrinsic value, i.e. how they allow you to actually participate in a company's success (dividents, influence in the company). But what is the intrinsic value of owning an ETF? If suddenly everyone decided they didn't like a particular ETF and its value dropped dramatically, how could anyone profit on that based on the ETF's assets?

If the share price of the etf doesn't move much (just a couple % maximum) comparatively to the NAV, how do ETFs grow in AUM like in Cathy Wood's ARKK ETF, where she can see millions in inflow as well as outflow.

Funny thing is, Tesla grew 4x more after the posting of this video to the end of 2020.

So incredible! I'm amazed at the amount of faith and trust investors are putting in Tesla. I'll be so happy watching tesla grow into that valuation.

Don't listen to this guy. He plays League of Legends and is a discord mod.
