  • In this second episode of the Best views in Rotherhithe ans Surrey Quays we're continuing from the Double Tree Hilton where we left off in Part 1 and walk towards Surrey Quays along this southern side of the Thames Path are some of London finest skyline views.
    Join me on this second leg of a riverside walk, as I show you the best viewpoints for skyline photography in Surrey Quays.
    #SurreyQuays #Timelapse #London
    As introduced in the last video, the way I pinpoint the exact locations is with pop-up with What3Words - if you're not familiar with the app, it's a mapping way of describing exact locations, that is simplier than using geographic coordinates. Download the free app, type in the three words and you will know exactly where I was.

    I have fallen in love with your channel and your photography is so excellent! There is nothing like that here in Atlanta and I was in London November 2019 and didn’t even know Rotherhithe existed! I am coming back this November and I can promise you I will spend a lot of time there! Thank you so much for these videos! They are so beautiful!

    Michael, I think is one of your best vlogs yet as the array of footage was incredible. I am now revising my schedule when I am in London in September as the locations you shared looked fantastic for cityscape images and need to plan time to go along the south side of the river

      Thank you yet again, I love walking by the river, especially around Rotherhithe however now that this video received such good feedback, I might do more “best views in…” videos that aren’t necessary about just hills and elevated skyline views, I’m thinking Greenwich to O2 walk is awesome, around Canary Wharf on the north side of the river, Limehouse to Wapping , all these I’d recommend you visit if you get the time 👍🏻

      Thanks a lot, so glad you enjoyed it hearing that you know Canary Whatf mostly from the isle of dogs side, that’s a whole separate video I’m planning too, but this side of the river always has the better views of Canary Wharf hence I return there so often and now part 3 has to be done too 😀

      @@LondonViewpoints can't wait if u did 1 in my local area of Greenwich area (welcome park station ) and I think u should give more time to point hill as for me that's arguably best view in London as u see the entire view of london in one shot. No where else does it like that not Greenwich Park.unless u r on a hill or something

      @LondonViewpoints  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gaganattri2002 you mean Westcombe Park station ? Took me a moment to figure out the misspelling , but yes I’m planning a video about this area as there’s quite a few cool views there indeed just not sure when yet. I do agree Point Hill is a great view however the reason I don’t think it’s the best view is I’m not as keen to timelapse from there as there’s nothing ever almost that’s noticeable moving in the foreground , no roads, trains etc so apart from sky from that viewpoint everything is static, and the place I would call the best view in London would need to have more movement below the skyline for me too

    I'm always excited when I see that you've uploaded a new video and you never let us down 🙌🏻 as usual - great video quality, interesting locations, humorous and insightful commentary - great job 💯 out of curiosity, when you find an otherwise great vista spoiled by something small (like the lamp at 9:19), do you ever just photoshop it out, or do you prefer to keep things 'natural'?

    • @LondonViewpoints
      @LondonViewpoints  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s so kind to hear☺️thanks a lot and I’m happy that the work I put into these is appreciated, even if my humour can be often cringe 🤣If I see that something is in the way, I move and find a better view to avoid work in post, so I rarely if ever photoshop things out, however in the hyperlapse of Canary Wharf early in the video, I had to clone out loads of hedges that were on the pier, so every few frames you see left edge especially of the video doing weird jumps as parts of previous frames get repeated to avoid the distraction of these hedges and bushes in the way
