He named her Maple, that cat went to my husband early every morning and cleaned not only his face, BUT his moustache! If he was having a bad day, she was always there next to him. We’re basically dog people, but when animals love you, they LOVE you.

Cats always pick their own favorite person. It's just how it is.
Usually it's the person who gives them the most affection and feeds them. $10 says he doesnt work or works from home and she's away all the time. This dichotomy in relationships with the same cat is probably easily explainable, but normally given equal opportunity, cats dont just choose a favourite unless that person spends an inordinate amount of time with them.
@@paddington1670 I might disagree with that. I've had many cats since childhood and most of them have bonded more strongly with one individual, and often not the actual primary physical caretaker. Actually used to (half jokingly) tick my dad off as a kid that one of the cats he rescued was much more bonded with me.

My boyfriend's cat gave birth to her baby a few days back... And today early in the morning she came to our bed with her baby love, dropped her onto me, climbed onto my boyfriend's chest, and cuddled with him while I was assigned the nanny duty😶😂

Edit: for those who seem surprised about our cat giving birth to only one kitten, she actually gave birth to 2 kitties. But her sister cat who is actually with my boyfriend's brother lost her own babies so as to make her feel a loved mom, my boyfriend's brother adopted one of our kitten 🤗... Now both the cats have a kitten to raise and be a happy mum😊

🤔 I think I get the psychology behind their bond. The cat is a convenient wing man. Drew probably doesn’t love the cat as much as he does his free time. My guess is that Lindsey is clingy and needy and requires a lot of his attention, which frustrates her husband. The cat is an orphan, and is probably suffering with PTSD associated with his being abandoned as a kitten. So naturally by Drew love bombing the animal, he created a codependent cat that feeds off his affection for validation and a sense of self worthiness.
This isn’t good for Lindsey, who is probably also a codependent individual because the cat essentially functions as a buffer between she and her annoyed husband whenever he isn’t in the mood to feed her emotionally. He can basically control her emotions by treating her as a 3rd wheel or “side chick” to he and the cat’s relationship in giving the cat the affection his wife so desires. Lindsey is frustrated to the point of chronicling the abuse to alleviate the turmoil and anguish she experiences every time she watches her husband choose a house cat over his own wife. Maybe she should get a hobby. This is a very sick and twisted dynamic and I feel bad for the two victims in the situation; A narcissist and his 2 codependents 😅😂🤣

This is my life! My hubs found an abandoned tiny kitten. We took her to the vet, and kept her. 6 years later, she loves us both, but hubs is HER man. If I walk up to my hubs and hug him, she runs up to me and bites the back of my calves until I move away from HUBS. I'm all good, unless she sees me "loving on" HER man.
