Was I the only one that didn’t realize that the factory is movie accurate in terms of structure? Impulse, you did an excellent job of not only recreating the factory but making it your own - I definitely prefer yours to the bland grey concrete one in the movie

I thought he was making his own desing as well, but it was pointed out on the reddit that it is pretty similar to the factory seen in the 2008 movie a few months ago. His design is what makes this build great for me, it is really on brand and the block palette is nice

For those who don’t know Impulse said in a recent stream he plans on working on the interior of his factory with the create mod in between Hermitcraft seasons.

That phrase is so overused. He didn't bit off more than he could chew, the ending of the season was rather unexpected for the hermits themselves, they didn't plan it that way from the start. If it didn't end so soon Impulse would've had enough time to finnish everything without rushing it

@@pa9030 they did plan it from the start. X said it in a stream, where he answered questions about HC and the Hermits just made it look like it was unexpected. Because if they told everyone that the season was gonna be only 6 months long, the viewership could have dropped...

Can we take a moment to appreciate Impulse's time management and grind skills? For a big chunk of the season, Impulse was still working a full-time job, he's got a family he's raising, and he had to overcome some burnout midseason and took a few weeks off. Yet, in spite of that, Impulse had the most complete base structure of any of the Boatem members, and when looking at that top-down view from Impulse's short, it looks like the Factory's footprint was almost as large as the entire Boatem Gigabase mountain, that was built by 4 hermits. 1 hermit, creating part-time, was able to build almost as much as 4 hermits full-time. And that doesn't even count how he did most of the Yes Wings Club build, built an industrial area with some pretty heavy-duty farms, a very strong piglin bartering system, AND he participated in 7 weeks of Last Life. Impulse is a trooper.

Impulse truly outdid himself this season. He doesn’t get nearly enough appreciation from the Hermitcraft fanbase for all he’s accomplished.

You think they'll retire in 8 years? Even younger members like Pearl, Gem, Mumbo, etc. Who will be in their early 30s? I don't know how much TH-cam pays so maybe they could have enough to retire and quit their job, but I don't know about that, then again CaptainSparklez also makes Minecraft videos (among some other things) and he appears to be pretty rich so maybe if they made about the same money they could I don't know

I feel like people do not give you enough credit on how massive this project was. Like not just the building but also gathering all of those resources, especially the deepslate.... kudos to your tenacity!

I sure didn't until TFC was wandering Boatem around on foot...boggled. Then saw a series of screenshots of Boatem being developed from worldheight or higher...boggled again. Somehow just seeing people zooming by doesn't do it justice... and half the time it was too big and Boatem too laggy to even render in properly during fly-bys. It's enormous! 😳
Does anyone else just love how he builds like a 3D printer? Like even when he was building those little things on the roofs of the garages, he still built like a printer, super cool! Amazing job on this impulse!
Im assuming he's using litematica or some other schematic mod that allows him to build like that
Most hermits use litematica to build, what they're doing would be extremely hard without it, freehanding big scale builds is basically impossible if you want then to look good
In super fast time lapse, it took 5 minutes to finish. Imagine how much effort and time he put on this build

I didn’t even realize exactly how massive the build was until just now, but holy shit this is incredible. This is truly amazing, Impulse. I think this short season definitely was a cool way of testing everyone’s skills to see what all they could accomplish in only six months’ time, and I feel like you especially went above and beyond, but it was totally worth it!!
Ahsjakdkf It’s the fact that you, Cub, and Scar really did see the six month mark and went “Bet.” All the hard work really paid off, and the whole Hermit island ended up looking so awesome!
(Btw: Grian made jokes about that one part looking like a brita filter… Did he really forget the G-Team’s base looked exactly like that? It still looks hella cool tho!!)

Best base of this season for sure and can clearly understand why the interior was left due to the short duration of time
I watched throughout the season and this time lapse is still amazing. Joe Hills sort of goggled at it when he quick toured the outside with his Patreon peeps (he also was impressed with Mumbo’s build)….you red-stoners have graduated!

Wow, Its incredible how you built this whole factory in just 30 episodes, let alone placing down the grass blocks for the ground, Im mind-blown on how big this factory is!! You deserve way more subscribers Impulse, This timelapse was also fun to watch, Happy new year!! 🎉🎊
Impulse had by far the most astounding mega build this season. I mean, cubs custom biome was mind blowing, and the octagons frost walking spiders and bridges were incredible, but impulse was the only one who fully committed to a single structure for 6 whole months and it shows. No other building on the server comes close to this one in both scale and quality and it was definitely my favorite this season.

I'm wondering (I didn't have the time to watch the episodes) just how much incomplete is the build? What more was planned to be added? Like it seems pretty complete to me apart from maybe landscaping

I love how at 2:17 the background starts to flicker as if it is dancing to the rhythm of the music. A nice little detail that comes with the mod that the Boatem people installed.

There's something really satisfying about watching a giant project like this being shrunk to 4 minutes
this is the first time i saw a modern-ish build (not like the modern house kind, more like what you see everyday kind of modern) that has a gradient and the build looks good, im having a hard time being motivated but after watching this i feel like playing again, thx
By far one of my favorite Hermitcraft bases of all time. And the fact Impulse finished it in about 6 months time is incredible.

Wow. Just wow. Impulse, you've blown the roof off of this one. This factory is so big it looks like it broke build height. The fact that you built this all in under six months is phenomenal. Have a good break and we'll see you sometime on stream!
Also, time-lapses are amazing and calming. I think I watch hermitcraft specifically for the time-lapses and the shenanigrians.
For such an immensly short season this was one heck of a beastly project, and the fact that Impulse managed to basically finish the exterior of it is extremely impressive. Probably the most grand scale base in the entire season when viewed as a standalone building done by one person, nothing else really compares to it.
The most creative impulse I know
This was definitely one of my favourite builds this season (among the stiffest competition yet too). I love the palette, the details, the different shapes, the main entrance especially, and the way it all comes together so well. A truly epic build. Thanks so much for posting this video, Impulse.

I think building something based on an actual "location" really boosted your skills to the next level! The difference between S8 and S7 bases in terms of detail and block usage is just incredible.
Impulse, our favorite Redstone expert has outdone himself with the factory, although I wouldn't count him among the builders of the server. He built this massive factory, with the whole area surrounding it - and he even built the back ?? !! Truly amazing,

I watched impulse build this from beginning through end. Every episode. And it still never ceases to amaze me. None of the hermits cease to amaze me. When I think they’ve finally done all they can to surprise me they do something else. Sad to see this season go though. Would love to see this build continued and finished

Impulse, you went absolutely above and beyond with this build. And the fact that this was one of the first mega bases started and finished, it blows me away. This season was definitely your strongest yet, and I can’t wait to see you grow as a hermit more!

This factory base is fantastic and one of my favorite hermitcraft builds. The use of the gradient really came though with those walls and towers.

By far the best base this season for the scale alone. Now count in all the details, the time that went into building this and gathering resources and the amount of effort put out into making great quality videos and you've got yourself an insane project done by an awesome TH-camr. Love the timelapse! This has inspired me to finally start the editing of my own mega build. I built a megabase of alduin that went to buildheigt(1.17), and decided to record it.

Watching this place take shape all season was impressive. Watching it as a single time lapse was mind blowing! yes, that is litematica. But its impossible to tell if he used printer or if he at least placed the blocks himself.

@@pixelplanet142 they have the builds planned out so they know what goes where. Meaning they can build this way. And if you know what mega build will look like, it's easier this way.
@@neoupdate__014 i don't think that there are any strict rules on HC. Just think about how Tango rejects the use of TNT dupers, while docm goes as far as building update-suppressors.

I’m really late but I really like how you can see the sunset appear - it gives a good sense of how much time impulse spent on the project (and like many people said it’s more impressive because of the season’s length)

Time lapse is an AMAZING thing. To watch the idea of a build be brought to fruition at such a high speed. 6 months in such a short period of time!
Impulses base was definitely my favorite this season, the grand size of it alone is so impressive.
I think the coolest thing about this is how you can see how he goes back and forth, like a 3D printer. This is one of the best builds this season!
I'm not sure which is more astonishing. The fact that these mega-bases are built (and components gathered) in survival mode, or the fact that they are so big now, that there isn't enough time to get them completed within a season.
Hermit craft season 8 was shorter than normal. Every one of the other 7 seasons they were over a year long. So, they do normally have enough time to complete the builds.

This was super impressive, but just so you know, it's the magic fun of each Hermit's personality and the shenanigan's you get up to together that get my views. The builds don't need to get bigger and bigger and bigger for me to enjoy watching. Have fun, don't burn out. Hearts!

Man impulse you had alot going on with that being said your factory was my favorite build this season. Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory is one my all time favorite movies and you did an amazing job. You were silly and "Wonky" and you did a great job balancing, keeping to the theme while making it you own. I wish the season was longer simply to see more of this amazing build. Watching is massive structure rise from absolute nothing was incredibly satisfying. For such a large scale project you did great Impulse. Especially in the sense that this only took 6 months. Amazing job!

Honestly, this is a gorgeous method to be able to *see* your own impact on the server. Impuse specifically did a MASTERFUL job planning, executing, and tailoring for HC8. I know PearlescentMoon recently did a poll regarding making a long-form timelapse video on her base. Seeing this makes me want ALL the bases!!! Can we get more hermits to take a look at their own work through the lense of a long-frame timelapse? Hmmm.... Perhaps.
I think Impulse’s factory was the best base this season it has so much detail, was based on a lot of people’s childhoods with Willy Wonka and it was just awesome

In a 20 or less episode hermitcraft season, impulse creates the largest base ever on hermitcraft. Some commitment!
This is the incredible build all in one go, but not all the resource gathering. I'm always hugely inspired by Impulse, and it's getting me through my 1.18 grind and builds. This base, omg, wonderful. A short season, but holy heck, how did he get this done in just that short amount of time?! Respect.
So when I watched this timelaspe I had a Perfect Circle song playing in the background, honestly is was quite by accident, but I made this timelaspe even more epic. Great build Impulse and great season. I can tell you really enjoyed yourself a lot this season. I think next season will be even better.

No wonder you almost had a burnout, this build is insane. Usually people build stuff like this in creative and in a team. Not just one person. And if you really finish it in create mod, it will be even more mindblowing. Hope we get to see it in it`s full glory! Cheers to you!
