Also like the comment above me says he could be bisexual or so pragmatic that he has a wife and kids for cover, after all as fucked up as it may sound, being in a straight relationship would bring you less attention than a gay one, especially back then.
@Lucimyr if you run an illegal empire it's probably more suspicious ten years ago... nowadays gay CEOs and such are not that rare... 2008, yeah... either way, a "normal" relationship will be less attention, also i don't know how liberal other people in the drug business are... The US government has a treaty with the UK which permits them to access documents from the Cayman Islands related to criminal investigations. It's called a mutual legal assistance treaty (MLAT). The feds just need to work with their law enforcement branch to work out the details. It is a pain in the ass. Very time intensive, lots of back and forth.
I think the end Hank and Gomez were talking about with Mike was the half-measure story he told Walt.
That might have been what it was originally intended to refer to when this episode was written but Better Call Saul confirms that it refers to something else...

Now, it's entirely possible that I'm wrong, if so, then you are way to good at plot jumping and you're not REACTING, you're anticipating and blurting out plot details ahead time.
