Mexicans love Malcolm in the Middle because it would air on over the air television (canal 5) in the evening (I want to say M-F but I don't remember the exact details) and was well received by many. A whole generation grew up with that show. MitM is a part of Mexican culture.

Two other tianguis that I like a lot are Bazar del Oro, and...I don't know the name, or if it even has a name, but it's on Avenida Cuauhtemoc, between Metro Hospital General and Metro Centro Medico. Both are weekends only (I think the one on Cuauhtemoc is also on Fridays). Let me know how everything goes!
