- In this project, EPS foam board is used to carve a theater mask design. The display is then hard-coated using Habitat Cast N Coat.
Habitat Cast N Coat is a flame-rated (E84, Class A) filled, liquid epoxy that can be cast solid or thickened for brushing or troweling onto vertical surfaces.

would this work on xps(pink foam) as well?
You know xps comes in different colours, right?
Жұғысты болсын ! 👍👍👍
You know if there is something similar in Brazil, you can give me more information.
Is it possible/advisable to use this as a mold surface for vacuum infusion?
(Basically the following work flow...)
CNC milling a female high density foam mold (externally supported as needed).
coating cavity with Cast N Coat (and sanding smooth)...
applying mold release agents...
layout and vacuum infusion (in my case carbon fiber/kevlar)...
demolding.
This may be possible, we would recommend running a small scale test. Also, you may need to apply more than 2 coats for a stable surface dependent on foam density.
How well will this hold up in a saltwater aquarium? Also is it safe for fish etc THX
It is safe for aquarium use
what would the difference be between this product and Epsilon?
This material can be poured to make a casting as well as brushed on. Also it has a flame rating and is more rigid than Epsilon.
so it would require less coats than Epsilon? can I ask what I can use to hang foam after it has been finished? what was used on example? thanks
Any UV resistance?
Which cnc bit you used for this?

Has anyone tested how ridged this makes the material? I think this would be perfect for the project I have in mind but I’m not sure if it would offer the stability I need to hold weight.
This is a rigid material but for higher strength, we recommend our Epsilon PRO foam coating.
How thick is this painted on?
Amount 1/8"
Reminds me of Shell Shock.
It is an epoxy so it has a much longer working time than Shell Shock urethane.
Smooth-On Is this product stronger than Shell Shock? Would any reinforcement be needed using this product for hollow castings?
The strength is comparable, but the longer working time allows for larger areas to be covered at once.
Where can we buy this?
