Royal Enfield Bullet (Indian pre-unit) distributor dissasembly.

Dissasembly of the bushing type distributor assembly as fitted to 350 and earlier model 500 Indian Royal Enfield Bullets. Brief discussion of the function of the points and mechanical auto-advance with regard to setting the ignition timing. Removal of drive pinnion and auto-advance unit. Demonstrating huge amount of horizontal play in the distributor shaft on this unit.
Note, many of these units will have cast iron bushes fitted as standard rather than bronze.
