Rimba Raid 2023 - Race Day (Part Two).

A good start but eventually waste a lot of energy at the first hill with unavoidable traffic jam.
The three logs river crossing was also a killer.
For the first 80km, I was hit with heat cramps, multiple spasms on the muscles causing lots of sharp pain. Each time I stop to ease the muscle spasms, loose 15-20minutes. I even stop to ask for the public a bottle of water as I was dehydrating fast. 6 litres were not enough to replenish my body with water.
Eventually did not finish the route. DNF. This was the only Rimba Raid race that I did not complete. Past 5 years of Rimba raid was completed with ease.
Camera battery died before that. Exited thru the kampong at the Sand Bank.
The heavy rains on previous days makes the trail wet and muddy and some bridges were destroyed making it almost impossible to cross without help !

Samalah kita..aku sampai org dah kuar...start dari balak pukul 12.30.Nak sampai ke sandbank masyaAllah..seksa sebab pinggang meletop.Sampai simpang 3..Dia ckp lagi 5km nak sampai sandbank.waktu tu pukul 3.Budak yang jaga situ ckp pukul 3.30 tutup..Aku dijamukan buah rambutan.Lepas dari jambatan kayu nampak kelibat SRC keluar...aduh..kecewa
