Hi Cara! Look forward to see all the roses in bloom. Your yard will be extra beautiful with all the different roses. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day.💕
Cara I can’t wait to see these in bloom! I just planted a few of my first roses--(half off Atwoods sale roses--they were begging for me to buy them) 🤓 take care, lacy.
Most of the roses I purchased are actually OWN root roses! David Austin’s website says the ones that are grafted use Dr. Huey as the root stock. 😊 -Cara

New subscriber cara. Was gifted a boscobe David Austin shrub rose last summer. It's doubled in size with 3 buds planted up in a pot south faceing garden in Cleethorpes north east Lincolnshire UK. Looking forward to seeing all your David Austin rose development's over the summer. ❤
@@bluebirdhomestead yes. The first year the blooms are nothing to write home about BUT the 2nd year is when they really start getting into their stride. I think it’s because they are more established and can draw a greater amount of nutrients and water. The bare roots bloom much better the first year than the potted own roots because they are older plants. I also ordered 2 Wollerton Old Hall roses (bare root from DA) I’m going to train along my wrought iron gate in the back yard.
@@Alejandro_C62 That is good to hear! I have never seen it in person. That makes sense, I’ve always noticed my roses kind of hold off really shining until year 2 or 3. 😊
my favorite the one that called "scented jewel" ❤ u should get it ,it has white purple pattern petals, it smells amazing
Ohh that sounds lovely! I love a rose that smells amazing! :) -Cara

Lots of pretty roses! I love all of your choices you picked out. How has your experience ordering from David Austin been?
So happy for all of your new roses Cara! Is the thought about planting Lavender with the roses a pest deterrent?
Congratulations! I’m waiting of 4 Desdemonas from Heirloom Roses coming later this week. So excited!! They’re going on the front of my house.
Ohhh that is so exciting!! I am really looking forward to seeing it bloom for the first time. Have you ever seen it bloom in person?

whoah...you got them after 1 year of ordering? Why do they take so much time?
Just make sure to remove the tags from the canes. Eventually, the cane will die if you do not. 😊
