was hyped about the game until i found out who the co-developer and publisher for the game is...netease the same publisher for diablo imortal and we all know how the monetization turned out in that game. based on all of netease past games this game has a very high chance to be heavily P2W dont get me wrong, the game looks nice from the trailer, but ill keep my expectations, not very low, but non existent, that way it wont disappoint me when the devs will mess up the game
Honestly, Project Mugen instantly became my most anticipated game. it used to be Wuthering waves, but the graphic style of Project Mugen and how it's set in a modern city makes me really hyped about it, i love urban style games set in big cities.

It’s a mix of Splatoon for city design and shooting mechanics, Genshin impact + HSR for character designs, Honkai impact 3rd for fighting animations and feel, Spider Man for the grappling and wall running, Fortnite also for shooting mechanics and gun designs, Any mobile MMORPG, for example black desert for weapons, etc. Akibas Trip/Akiba strip for plot, (a city in danger and needs to be protected, etc), and gta for car hijacking, subway mechanics, and characters with skills that let them traverse land. I SWEAR THIS GAME IS GONNA BE FIRE 🗣️🗣️🗣️‼️‼️‼️
The doom posting isn’t really warranted tbh. ToF is in a very good spot. It makes around $6m a month from global alone, and the company behind it tripled their staff working on the game. I’m not a ToF fanboy, I only came back for anniversary but it’s miles better than before. That said if Mugen is as good as it looks, I’ll play it over TOF.
@@max107sky TOF fails in the details. I get pretty freakin anal talking about it. The gameplay and story doesn't coherent synch. In gameplay, your character is pounding these mooks into genocide. But then comes in the cinematics where your character gets pounded in by mooks (bandit attack on starter village), gets beat by the loli in a mech, and had to get your butt saved right after entering the desert region. Not just that, but for whatever reason, Hykros doesn't have information about you in their database either MIA or KIA, or just basic background like family. Literally nothing! But you're one of their super special Executors with some power to control time. But yeah, no data on you or your sister/teammate from the opening sequence. That's not even going into the unfairness of the foreigner tax where CN players get more rewards per dollar than everyone else! I could go on and on, but then I'll just get an aneurism recalling all the memories of why I dropped the game... Like forcing my character into a short female skeleton in the cutscenes AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH-💢💢💢💢💢
Since Naked Rain is a subsidiary of the team that (to the best that I can find) made Naraka Bladepoint, I can also see some parallels between the movement / combat in this game and Naraka, which is a good sign considering how much I love Naraka's gameplay
I'd assume the game would have a big massive Hub City as the main scenario. And then you would have smaller cities like "Rural City" "Beach City" "Mountain City" and so on. But also there would be a bit of connection between each of those.
If they are going to have open world and if it has coop, the coop needs to be able to be progressed with all players currently in the world, I fuck8ng hate not being able to play story missions with friends. If they do that, then the game could have a long-running player base as no other gacha that I know of does it

The amount of easter eggs and small details in the trailer is just truly insane, it has easily become a game most gamers are anticipated for, can’t wait for it to be released 😩🤩

The company is well known to pull the plug on their games, not even lasting a year or two, having extremely pay to win stuff in their games, stingy on game rewards, lastly their games don't have free to play friendly environment experiences for non spending players or low spenders. if i were you, you should follow the other players footsteps who are cautiously optimistic, taken it with a enormous grain of salt or just ignored it. They only have two saving grace games, those are Dying Light mobile and Naraka: Bladepoint, also keep in mind they also made Diablo immortal, a 5 star gem in that game alone costed $5000 and a one star gem upgrade or buying one costed either $150 or $1500 (couldn't recall which one it was)
Real talk? as a company, you really wouldnt need to be greedy with Project Mugen.. Like depending on the execution of the gameplay, story, music, etc it could easily make a lot of money with just characters and cosmetics alone, that and respecting a player's time and effort. I personally feel like they have majority of the formula down for being well received literally just dont... dont be greedy and things will flow.

@@Thiccwaifusinc There's a reason why NetEase has such a bad track record and rep, don't just ignore these, they recently shut down this year, a game they made called Hyperfront for mobile and pc back in april, so who knows how many other games they have shut down from previous months this year, just do a quick research and look up previous games for pc,mobile and consoles they shut down along the years, you'll be surprised.

I feel like rather than classes, characters will likely have attack types and elemental affinities. Likely to incentivize playing multiple character against enemies with resistances to certain elements and weaknesses to others. It's a gacha game after all. They're likely going to make you spend money one way or another.
Maybe on cosmetics? Apparently, the company is a subsidiary of Naraka Bladepoint, and for that game, you can unlock the characters for free, but it takes time. It's when you jump into cosmetics that's going to take down your wallet. Granted, Naraka is a battle royal and I'm hoping this one is similar to Tower of Fantasy that's actually good.

as long as it doesnt have something like resin I don't mind rng artifacts or gacha because I'll be able to farm the artifacts all I want and I'll be able to be satisfied with already obtained characters rather than wanting a new one that might be easier to farm for. This was a big problem in genshin where the gameplay felt cheap and unsatisfying because if I wanted to play for long periods of time and grind to make my characters stronger I couldn't or I would be straight up punished for it (have to use stored up fragile resin) and for that I will always hate genshin because of what they're doing to new releases because game devs saw the success and all the good things but also keep the stuff that made the game unbearable to play.
If there is no character creation its an L for me. ToF did a good job with its Character Creation and able to modify your character anytime you want. Sadly it has a lot of...issues. It could've been better.

This game is offering so much easy fast fluid traversal if genshin had this instead of the stamina system because tgats one thing hurting it now that the map is massive and there is sruff everywhere, being able to spiderman around the map would be glorious, but instead feels like game time inflation

The reason why Xbox doesn't get much Gachas is because Microsoft want to move away from RNG monetization like Gacha & Lootbox and another reason might be that Xbox just isn't popular worldwide.

Character customization is important because it allows self expression. MARK MY WORDS it is IMPORTANT Players want to be themselves not pretend to be someone else, and this is the issue most games have, not letting players build character in their own orginal way. How a person suppose to get attached to the game if they can't see themselves in it?Not to mention that even if some MMORPG Gacha games possesses some kind of customization, their characters gets nerfed which makes players feel like their creation is not important for the game, and all what is left is area exploration, gacha and combat experience over a real emotional experience that game could've posses.
Its only huge problem if character designs are realy weak, but i still would love to have good chara ter customization, i cant make my character flat in ToF for some reason.

This is just a gacha like. It's pretty obvious. Stamina system, RNG heavy gear grind limited by said stamina system. Pay to win character enhancement via copies. FOMO banners etc. It won't be different from the standard fanfare of the last decade.

So tired of this bs. Whenever one of these games come out, all the interesting characters are locked behind a gambling paywall. Then if you’re lucky enough to get the character you want, they’re nerfed and whatever character they release next is OP to encourage more gambling. Hopefully this gacha stuff is eventually recognized for what it is (gambling), and banned in most countries. Then developers can shift away from this model.
The game itself is cool but the downside is... they could have added multiplayer they had the ability for it to be an open world game.. and if they ditch that and add only co-op it's going to annoy me. Genshin Impact has that system where I have to have "friends" to play with them and I dislike that. I have friends that don't want to play the game at all and some who are too busy. I'd rather meet people through a game that I can play with whenever they are available to rather than force people to play a game they don't want to play. Also opening a lobby is fine but it causes more problems. Less people in a space causes less possibility of someone befriending you. Less bustle, less fun. Everything else is fascinating but if they are going to implement multiplayer they better not have the same co-op bs.
considering what the game looks like(much better than ToF) if it was made multiplayer for those mobile players, they can kiss that phone good bye. most the time when i had tried playing ToF my phone could only handle so much from it when it near it's original global release date. ntm the annoying thing part of not being able to pause or kill bosses thanks to having downgraded stuff. think this game will be a good bit easier but absurdly easy like genshin.

as long as it doesnt have something like resin I don't mind rng artifacts or gacha because I'll be able to farm the artifacts all I want and I'll be able to be satisfied with already obtained characters rather than wanting a new one that might be easier to farm for. This was a big problem in genshin where the gameplay felt cheap and unsatisfying because if I wanted to play for long periods of time and grind to make my characters stronger I couldn't or I would be straight up punished for it (have to use stored up fragile resin) and for that I will always hate genshin because of what they're doing to new releases because game devs saw the success and all the good things but also keep the stuff that made the game unbearable to play.
The vast majority of Gacha have a energy system. When you don't you end up like Blue Protocol

If there is no character creation its an L for me. ToF did a good job with its Character Creation and able to modify your character anytime you want. Sadly it has a lot of...issues. It could've been better.

This game is offering so much easy fast fluid traversal if genshin had this instead of the stamina system because tgats one thing hurting it now that the map is massive and there is sruff everywhere, being able to spiderman around the map would be glorious, but instead feels like game time inflation
Imagine not playing a game because of a male MC. That means no Red dead, no GTA, no Persona, no Shaq Fu, no God of War, Zelda, no Hell Let Loose, no Knack 2, no uncharted, no Batman Arkham!?!? The list goes on and that’s horrendous.

The reason why Xbox doesn't get much Gachas is because Microsoft want to move away from RNG monetization like Gacha & Lootbox and another reason might be that Xbox just isn't popular worldwide.

Players want to be themselves not pretend to be someone else, and this is the issue most games have, not letting players build character in their own orginal way. How a person suppose to get attached to the game if they can't see themselves in it?Not to mention that even if some MMORPG Gacha games possesses some kind of customization, their characters gets nerfed which makes players feel like their creation is not important for the game, and all what is left is area exploration, gacha and combat experience over a real emotional experience that game could've posses.
Its only huge problem if character designs are realy weak, but i still would love to have good chara ter customization, i cant make my character flat in ToF for some reason.

This is just a gacha like. It's pretty obvious. Stamina system, RNG heavy gear grind limited by said stamina system. Pay to win character enhancement via copies. FOMO banners etc. It won't be different from the standard fanfare of the last decade.

And no character creation, I can already tell. And gacha makes my blood boil. It's always gacha, .0002% chance of getting a ssr. Also mobile. So it's a mobile game.
So tired of this bs. Whenever one of these games come out, all the interesting characters are locked behind a gambling paywall. Then if you’re lucky enough to get the character you want, they’re nerfed and whatever character they release next is OP to encourage more gambling.
Hopefully this gacha stuff is eventually recognized for what it is (gambling), and banned in most countries. Then developers can shift away from this model.

The game itself is cool but the downside is... they could have added multiplayer they had the ability for it to be an open world game.. and if they ditch that and add only co-op it's going to annoy me. Genshin Impact has that system where I have to have "friends" to play with them and I dislike that. I have friends that don't want to play the game at all and some who are too busy. I'd rather meet people through a game that I can play with whenever they are available to rather than force people to play a game they don't want to play. Also opening a lobby is fine but it causes more problems. Less people in a space causes less possibility of someone befriending you. Less bustle, less fun. Everything else is fascinating but if they are going to implement multiplayer they better not have the same co-op bs.
considering what the game looks like(much better than ToF) if it was made multiplayer for those mobile players, they can kiss that phone good bye. most the time when i had tried playing ToF my phone could only handle so much from it when it near it's original global release date. ntm the annoying thing part of not being able to pause or kill bosses thanks to having downgraded stuff. think this game will be a good bit easier but absurdly easy like genshin.

Oh my god, it's a gacha game. Nope. I'm out. I'm so sick and tired of having to pay currency to roll for characters I may not even get when gacha games NEVER give you enough currency to actually roll for things. I would out right just buy the characters for DLC prices if I could. I quit gacha a long time ago because of how shitty and predatory the gacha business is. Looking at you Epic Seven, HONKAI IMPACT AND FGO ESPECIALLY, Genshin, etc.
